I once had a long argument with a Holocaust denialist, until they stopped responding. I checked back a few days later to see if I'd missed a response, only to find that they'd simply deleted my final comment, making it look like I was the one who had no response.

With blocking, what I'd like to see is existing posts to be marked "User has been blocked by the Asker" (or "Opinion Owner") if it happened once a conversation had been started. At the moment, the messages remain visible, but there's no indication why they stopped.
