I think all disinformation should be at least flagged. The probelm is there's disinformation about where the disinformation comes from, and the disinformers have no incentive for being in any way bound by reality.

It seems like the right is on a quest to see exactly how much they can get away with before the voters stop them. In a way, it almost seems like they are desperate to be stopped, because it's scary how easily their disinformation works nd how much damage it causes. So, since their voters aren't going to start accepting reality any time soon, the only way the right can stop themselves is if they march their voters right off a cliff. That is, anti-vax disinformation will probably get millions of right wing voters killed, which pretty much guarantees they won't win any elections for twenty years or so. That may be intentional, as the right wing disinformers (who are all vaccinated) can only think of the "final solution" to stopping themselves.

I hope they wouldn't go that far to pressure phone companies to fact check sms. Time will tell if they are lying. And I wouldn't put it pass them with what happened on social media sites fact checking comments. Suspending accounts that shared bidens son laptop story that is proven to be true. There was many stories they labeled as misinformation that down the line was proven to be true.

That's the problem with labeling things as misinformation. And it's usually people on the left determining what's misinformation or disinformation is. As if they determined what's true or not. That's a problem for me.

I don't always necessarily trust conservative bias sources either. But I find them to end up being more factual than liberal bias news sources.

So fact checks don't alway turn out to be the facts. Most of the time they are just opinions.

First I want to make it perfectly clear that everyone should get the vaccine as a civic duty. Refusing to do so is the same as attempted mass murder. In fact I would be in favor of it being mandatory to prove vaccination in order to enter public buildings or participate in large gatherings or use any kind of mass transportation, air travel etc.

That said, it is a slippery slope when we start to restrict communications. Do phone companies have the legal right to filter or restrict communications on their platforms? Yes. But the government does not have the authority to force them to do so. At the same time, if you tell someone that they should not get the vaccine and lie to them about why and that person then dies you should be found guilty of first degree murder and be penalized accordingly.

I don't limit my news sources to organizations on either side of the political spectrum. I purposely read/watch news from a variety of left, right, & center sources, so that I can form my own opinions based on information from all angles.

I just find it odd that this particular story is only being reported by a single news organization, and one very right wing reporter. It very well might be true, but until it is picked up by multiple sources, I will remain sceptical.
