If the name "Indians" is so offensive, will the team continue to sell what ever remaining merchandise that has the name "Indians" or team logo "Chief Wahoo"?

Better yet, If a Cleveland fan wears a jersey with the name "Indians" to a game next season, will he be allowed into the ballpark?

When FSU wanted to adopt the Seminole as their mascot, they actually walked to the Seminole Tribe to request their permission, and the Seminole Tribe was quite happy for FSU to be known as the Seminoles. Over the years, the Seminole Tribe has maintained communication and input into hos FSU uses the Seminole mascot, and changes have been made over the years in response to those requests.

Several years ago, the NCAA got bitten by the PC bug and they wanted to make schools change their mascots if they referred to any type of Indian. FSU received such a request and the Seminole Tribe responded on our behalf, politely telling the NCAA too get their nose out of our business, as they were quite happy for FSU to be the Seminoles.

There's a town in Illinois called Pekin, named on the erroneous belief that it was the antipode of Peking. And it was decided that the high school team would be named after a related racial epithet. And they stayed that way until 1981, when they became the Dragons. I can understand that. And I can understand the Redskins doing the same, but the Indians? This is just getting silly.
