Right wingers get pissed about celebs getting “canceled”. But isn’t it just the free market? They want to forcefully stop the free market from canceling assholes? How? Dictatorship?

The funny part is the cancel culture is rampant on both sides. It’s become fashionable to boycott any person or entity that says something they don’t like. It’s not unique to either side, so I laugh when I hear conservatives complain about it. They might want to clean up their own cancel culture before criticizing the left. While I don’t always agree with the left, at least they’re more honest about their agenda.

If a person or company says or does something awful, and people stop giving them their hard earned money, I've no issue with that. If people are being fired or censored because they have an unpopular opinion, I can't get behind that.

I get that, and it's their right, but if it's merely because the person has a different opinion about things, it's wrong. There's nothing I can do to stop them, but I don't agree.

Uh no. The free market only "cancels" those who aren't popular enough to "make a profit".

Cancel culture is like when some people hate a product or service so much that they tear down the building where the products are being made and their insurance just said "Well you shouldn't have pissed them off" and refuses to insure them screwing the business over.
