There was no trial, no fact-finding, and no real evidence. Just accusations and gossip. Is this in any way reasonable or fair?

There was an investigation, but it has not gone to court (yet). He was pretty adamant about defending himself until basically an overnight decision. Most likely either a lawyer or agent approached him threatening damning evidence, or more likely his party sees him as damaged goods or indefensible and forced him to step down. Keep in mind that just because he has resigned does not mean that this is over and done with; a trial can still happen.

Cuomo, Whitmer, and Murphy should all be facing life in prison for essentially signing the deaths of thousands of people with the nursing home COVID debacles, and yet getting frisky with a couple secretaries and a state trooper is what got Cuomo removed... THAT is f*cked up beyond reason.

Now the interesting part is this will likely resurrect the allegations against Joe Biden. While I don't think it's particularly likely to go anywhere, it would be a convenient way for the Democrats to get rid of him without having to embarass themselves with the 25th amendment somewhere down the road. The main reason I don't think it'll happen though, is because they know Kamala kills any chance they'd have of holding out in 2024.

In a news conference last week, James said the probe “found that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed current and former New York State employees by engaging in unwelcome and non-consensual touching and making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women”.
“The independent investigation found that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, many of whom were young women, by engaging in unwanted groping, kisses, hugging and by making inappropriate comments,” she added.

I'm actually very disappointed this happened. I remember when Covid just happened and u would watch his updates on how to combat this virus. He was certainly a reassurance versus Trump at the time.

This is the environment that has been created by the overwhelmingly left-leaning MSM. Of course, Cuomo wants to avoid a public trial because that would bring even more disgrace upon him, so this is the option he selected.

In the recent similar case of Brett Kavanaugh, he was confident n the outcome of an investigation so he didn't withdraw his name from consideration for the Supreme Court, and he prevailed.

I don't know much about the situation, but I think he did the right thing in giving resignation if there was doubt about his integrity. If he's innocent, he'll come back much stronger.
This is something I would do as well and expect all my political and professional affiliates to do if allegations would ever come up against me or them - once the trust of the integrity comes amiss, you can't keep holding a public position.
Recently I've had a situation with a former member of my list because some of her social media posts caused backlash - she agreed with me that even if she was innocent of the worse things people assumed about her, she should void her candicacy and withdraw from the list, which she did.

Well, some of the allegations made against him, such as inappropriate groping and kissing, were substantiated by witnesses (some of them police officers) in the AG report. That’s why it became politically impossible for him to stonewall anymore. There is solid evidence to some of this. He will probably face a slew of lawsuits before this is over.

The orange shitstain raped a 13-year-old girl, said he could "grab 'em by the pussy" when referring to teenage girls in a beauty contest dressing room. He's been a womanizer his whole life.

originally cuomo was under the gun about killing 15,000 nursing home patients then it became about women... so you get the distriction? nobody went to jail for squeezing a girl's ass but they have for killing 15,000 people... it's a decoy simple as that.

yeah, sure. The political capital that someone has also depends on public perception. This can reasonably be tainted even if there is no court that convicted him.

The public functions differently from courts and people have their own opinions, such as whether anyone tainted by this should even be in such an position. It would not be the first time the public demands a squeeky clean reputation in office.

He resigned of his own volition. The NYS AG did a massive investigation and it is all public knowledge. There are over 70K facts in the release. Do you really think that this man was railroaded by his own party?

The fact finding was done by the DOJ, and they stood up and literally announced that they found every witness to be credible and had a shit ton of evidence, but they opted not to prosecute, which is why everyone is so pissed off. They also stated that any prosecutor should have an easy case against him if the women go forward with pressing charges. He done fucked up and got caught. Stop trying to defend him because of his political affiliation. That's sick.
