Someone posted a comment that said, "I know there is the whole guilty until proven innocent thing." Oh you mean the law? Yeah it's the law. Everyone who is accused of a crime is guaranteed a trial and the Right to Habeus Corpus. Even in sacred Jewish law all accused is entitled to trial by Jury. However, in the Sacred Jewish constitution, if the accuser lied they'd be put to death.
There's a difference between being accused of something, and being guilty of it. People are under the impression that droves of men are going around assaulting women and harassing them everywhere. A large majority of these men have been falsely accused, and have been in a civil court battle for years. One young man was just about to complete college, but was falsely accused, and the college would not let him graduate. He is now suing the college.
If one were to ask the average man if he's a virgin, you'd be surprised to find how many there are. There are lots of factors at play. One of them being that a man doesn't want to be falsely accused of something so he rather focus on his degree. If you ask the average woman if they are a virgin. You'd be surprised to find that the majority are not. In fact, when it comes to sexual premiscuity women are at the top. Now some have read what I said and take it to mean that some deserve to be treated in such a manner. Absolutely not. No human deserves to be attacked, abused, and sexuality harassed. None. The notion that men are just out looking for sex partners and are unable to control themselves is false. That's the point I'm making here.
Now back to Andrew Cuomo. If he is guilty the things he's accused of we will only know in a Court of Law. Those of you who are attacking this man for being accused, you should ask yourself, what if you were accused and you knew you were innocent? It wouldn't be fair to have folks call you all sorts of names. You'd probably resign as well because of your name and reputation being tarnished. So if he's guilty or not we will never know until the verdict is reached. So the "Guilty until proven innocent thing," also called the law, matters.
I am actually pissed. Not because he’s gone but because he didn’t get nationally exposed for shipping covid positive seniors back to nursing homes and later lying about the fatality numbers. Sure it’s good his blatant creep bullshit got exposed. He’s a bully, a hypocrite and a liar. But this is actually a very convenient cover up by the Democrats. They want people to fixate on his sexual misconduct so they don’t notice the absolute shitty and criminal action he did during the pandemic. It’s likely that thousands of seniors unnecessarily died in NY thanks to his insanely stupid policy.
Having a policy that puts covid positive patients in nursing homes killed the elderly. Cuomo should be going to jail. I agree with you all the way.
@Frank_Woods this bullshit was going on all last year but we didn’t hear about it until February? Why? The Democratic Party and the mass media had to keep under wraps during the 2020 election. Cuomo was an outspoken critic of Trump.
But look how “sex sells”. The scandal has distracted swaths of people and making them ignore the far worse bullshit he did. But Democrats can’t let that media attention. Disgusting.
I don't know much about the situation, but I think he did the right thing in giving resignation if there was doubt about his integrity. If he's innocent, he'll come back much stronger.
This is something I would do as well and expect all my political and professional affiliates to do if allegations would ever come up against me or them - once the trust of the integrity comes amiss, you can't keep holding a public position.
Recently I've had a situation with a former member of my list because some of her social media posts caused backlash - she agreed with me that even if she was innocent of the worse things people assumed about her, she should void her candicacy and withdraw from the list, which she did.
I'm happy but I'll be more satisfied if he gets impeached so he doesn't run for office again. Also I feel like the only reason he's resigning is because someone high up made him a deal not to further investigate him for the sexual harrassment or the nursing home deaths he caused.

How weird that I actually met the Lt. Gov about a year ago and am in a photo with her. I have no idea how evil she is however; I didn’t catch those vibes with her, but a lot changes in a year. The problem that I have with all of this is anyone chosen for those positions is in some way controlled by blackmail, bribe, or both so while anything was better than that evil murderous piece of sh_t, what is the fix going to turn out to be? I know there is the whole innocent until proven guilty thing, but I can just say he looks REALLY guilty and im glad he resigned. Now I hope his victims get their justice from any ongoing court cases from here.
No, because it's a distraction from the policies of his that led to over ten thousand nursing home deaths and the threats he peddled against party members for wanting to speak out regarding it. Conveniently the DOJ is dropped their investigation into the whole thing, too.

The funny thing it's not the person in charge making the decisions they are told to sign the papers. Because the same type of person in charge in the UK also did the nasty on care homes. He also resigned not for sexual assault allegations but for kissing a woman employee in public.
These politicians through similar processes caused unnecessary deaths in care homes. Both men (one in the UK) were ousted not because of that but for women related activities. You see how it works, they get to resign for shit.

i am happy he resigned, but i feel like he should still get punished for what he did to that woman. i mean part of me feels that he is doing it so everything can be pushed under the rug, yet he still needs to be held accountable for what he did. he has not taken any course where he admitted his wrong doing, he is leaving i think to try to hope people forget about what he did.

This kind of conversation is why I told those guys in the other thread to cut you some slack, because it's very important that you know that (I, at least) am not dismissing the seriousness of sexual assault; Cuomo is just a very bad man to have in public office. The best case scenario is that he's incompetent. It's just really important for you to understand the context of the accusations against Cuomo. When he made the choice to ship COVID people into nursing homes, he did so at a time when the only thing we knew about COVID is that it hits elderly people the hardest. Cuomo made that decision against what his advisors told him to do. He did it against logic and reason. And he did so at a time when he had clearly better options available to him. The only drawback of those options was that doing them would make Trump look better. Those old people did not need to die. Cuomo's illogical decision directly resulted in his death, so to the point you just made; those people WERE effectively killed by Cuomo's hand. Cuomo is 100% responsible for the sexual assaults and the deaths, but he's only gotten in trouble for the sexual assaults.
I see that you're 20 years old. I know college classes are about to start up again (are you in college?), but I really encourage you to spend a day or 2 researching Cuomo. If nothing else, it will make for interesting reading. The way COVID was handled, you would think we live in a trashy spy novel.

He issued an order for nursing homes to take back patients recovering from COVID during the height of the pandemic. The idea was to keep hospitals from being overwhelmed. Thousands of these patients died and his administration underreported the number of deaths. There are lawsuits pending on that decision.
