Well the way he did it... yes. The proof is what is happening now.
It's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation.
I am not American but I think it was a bust. All the lives and money gone for what. What did any of it do? Things are the same as before. Except billions spent and more importantly all the lives lost for nothing.
No not the removal but how he's doing it is a complete mess. Trump had a plan that they agreed to
You mean the Taliban agreed to (and didn't stick to), without input from the Afghan government.
@goaded Let me shorten this very long story. Russia years ago tried to take them out and failed. 9/11 comes along we go after them. During this time presidents change and so does the directive. We were given direct orders we could not engage anyone not actively engaging in us. Just like any gorilla warfare they quickly learn this. Attack drop their weapons and disappear into the communities they live and work in. The Taliban are Afgan! We asked for people to volunteer to fight and defend their country. We trained and equipped them knowing half if not more were not just Afgan but also Taliban. Over the years the Taliban have changed dramatically with training equipment and much more disciplined. Trump saw a way out knowing there would never be a win. Agree to a peaceful takeover. All agreed until the unexpected Biden win. And came talks from Biden to extend the deadline. Which the Taliban did not trust him. So they slowly started the take over processes. Not a single shot was fired as this was a known planned peaceful takeover. The president of Afghanistan left as he said he would on a US military flight. Biden however tried to slow and extend the deadline again and the Taliban said no we can't we will not its not good for anyone. Biden knew this and yet drug his feet and not getting this process started much sooner. The news is trying to make it sound like this was a shock and did not know when they would arrive. BULL SHIT! they were in full communications! So now we have a Korean reply of get the hell out now! Burn everything and run. The people see the Americans running which causes fear and panic rather than the Trump planned exit. (I am really trying not to be political here or take sides but Biden screwed up!) The smoke you seen on TV was our embassy burning flags files and documents. The Taliban have not fired a single shot and has not hindered the Americans or any foreigners from leaving. Notice the Afgan Army has simply disappeared.
That's the short version?
In the middle, there: "Trump saw a way out knowing there would never be a win. Agree to a peaceful takeover. All agreed until the unexpected Biden win. And came talks from Biden to extend the deadline."
Another point of view would be that Trump negotiated a surrender, starting to hand the country over to the Taliban, with, I suspect, no plan for US allies in the region to migrate to safety in the US. There's a reason there's no mention of Trump's magnificent deal on right-wing websites any more.
This was the situation in October last year:
"The Taliban, now at their greatest strength since 2001, are advancing and attacking in districts across Afghanistan - despite a deal signed with the US in February which seemed to promise a respite to a nation exhausted by war and increasingly worried it will only get worse."

Everything Biden does is wrong.
because you don't like him therefore he's always wrong huh?
@Still-alive Honestly both Democrat and Republican are all doing this and I am so tired of it dividing our country and destroying our lives
And Trump was better?
@josephinelcajon too right mate.
Afgan tribes have been fighting for 2000 years and will fight for another 2000 years whether the U. S is there or not. It’s time we left Afghanistan, but it makes me sick to see how Biden is doing it.
We been there too long... But now I heard the Taliban rushed in.. We can never have peace
No, its the way he went about it that deserves the ridicule. He is completely clueless and ignored the advice of our military leaders.
No they been fighting themselves for literlyn1000 years an let them the us U. S has ournown problems to worry anout an fuck em
Had to add 3,000 troops to remove 1,500? Math doesn't add up - - - - - -
No, but the haste in which it's happening is sloppy.
He moved too precipitously and did not give the Afghan government time to stabilise its position.
The troops shouldn't ever have been there to begin with.
Seems like a pretty bad idea. Also seems like the press shit the bed AGAIN on covering what a Democrat president is up to and they're going to shit it YET AGAIN in holding him to account.
It would have been a great idea to have left last May, like Trump wanted though, tight?
@goaded No. That would've been a fucking terrible idea as well. Pretty good reason NOT to have done it then.
Well, what's the alternative? Stay another 20 years?
"How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?" John Kerry, 1971
http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/3631
@goaded Not at all. Do you NOT think you could run a withdrawal more sensibly than this? Maybe evacuate people BEFORE hand? WTF? If you think this as done well you're delusional.
So, to recap:
1. It's a terrible idea, we should blame the Democrats
2. It would still have been a terrible idea if Trump had done it
3. It had to be done, but better
Next, you'll be saying that Trump (the man who left the Afghan government out of his negotiations with the Taliban, which encouraged the Taliban, not to mention the green lighting for Turkey to invade Syria and steal loads of good farm land from Syrian Kurds), would have done it better.
@goaded No dumbass. It's a terrible idea, we should blame whatever fuck-tard was in charge when the decision was taken to do this in such a fucked up piss poor way. If that had been TRUMP who made that call I'd say he's 100% to blame. That's not the world we live in however. It was BIDEN who made that terrible call so he's 100% to blame.
Fucking hell--you're just as bad as the fucking MAGA douchebags. A bunch of useless, mindless partisan dipshits.
Next time there's a withdrawal of troops after a 20 year old war, we'll leave it up to your organisational skills. If you'd lead with "it had to be done, but the execution is terrible", I'd probably have agreed with you, but you had to blame the Democrats.
By the way:
“I started the process, all the troops are coming home, they (Biden) couldn’t stop the process. 21 years is enough. They (Biden) couldn’t stop the process, they (Biden) wanted to but couldn’t stop the process.” - Trump, 1 month ago
twitter.com/theNuzzy/status/1427051039404957697
@goaded I had to blame the Democrats because THEY are the ones who executed it so fucking terribly! Jesus dude!
Hmm possibly to get the troops out of a potential blast radius? The citizens are already fleeing. Technically they can take them out in one bang.
Biden's bungling of Afghanistan and the Mexican border has garunteed Republican victory in 2022 and 2024.
We had no business being there. We were their to rob them of their natural resources.
I Normally don't agree with childfucker Biden.
But this time he was right
To be honest, we should’ve never gotten involved. The US can’t keep acting like global police and showing up on anyone doorstep.
No because the Taliban is based
Fr*ick dumb zionists and communists in the west
HALAL AKBAR
Where is the Americans and where is the 6k solders that went in. And the strong warning he gave the Taliban, they just laughed at him. He look so weak
he was wrong to take them out before everyone else that need to leave.
I get why he did it but most are concerned about the greater threat that's been created.
He'll invade somewhere else next year so call of duty will have a new war to replicate. Just watch.
He’s behind all this shit from the beginning
it cost the USA an arm and a leg to be there get out
After 20 years? It was time.
Yep it was.
How he did it was wrong
Because the US military left all of there equipment and stuff even all the black hawk helicopters too they usually destroy them because they don’t want it to go into enemy hands
@will34 really? Why not load them onto a ship and bring them back?
They didn’t I don’t know why I heard that Biden made a truce with the taliban and stuff it just rumor I don’t know if that’s true would he be impeached though?
He was damned either way no winners here
There was a right and a wrong way to do it though. Biden did it the wrong way.
@FilmGuy93 What was the right way? Helping all the Afghans evacuate to the US or going back and crushing the Taliban as they tried to take over? (I know he didn't do great but just curious)
@FR_Ruby I don't know if I have enough words to properly fit an explanation into one comment post, but here's the abridged version.
1. Biden announced when he would pull out of Afghanistan to the entire world; big mistake.
2. Biden set the hard date of the pullout to 9/11, which is a very symbolic day for the successful terrorist attack on the US. So not only is 9/11 the day they successfully attacked the US, it's the day they took their country back from the invaders (a double victory for them).
3. Biden left BILLIONS of dollars of usable equipment behind in Afghanistan without providing the Afghan army any technicians who know how to maintain the stuff, which gave the terrorists material to sell or use for themselves. So we gave them a payday.
4. The Afghan soldiers we trained took a considerable risk in working with us and we failed to give them and their families a way out of the country when we left. The terrorists are now hunting those people down killing anyone they suspect of being sympathetic to the US. So we hung our allies out to dry.
The entire operation could have been done better if they move slower and more discretely. Trump's agreement with the Taliban was to slowly pull out of the country, on the CONTINGENCY that they not attack Afghanis as we left. Biden through that contingency plan out and left in a rush, regardless of whether the Taliban upheld their word.
@FilmGuy93 Thanks, that helps paint a good picture of the situation for me :)
Not wrong for doing it but wrong approach to it.
Yes but it was trumps idea
Trump’s plan was never to yank everyone out at once.
@AllThatSweetJazz 🤷🏼‍♀️
Trump is good please don't bring a lot of hatred to him, look on the bright side and see how many good things he has done
@gohbe brainwashed
Dont care, i hate him
Another year full of drama 🌝
he is wrong now no human rights for woman
The decision was right. Implementation was wrong.
It's all part of previous plans...
Yes look what happened
The way he did it yes
No best idea he's made
This is the secret plan of america.
You do know it was trump that started it, right?
He's right and capable
Bahahahahahahahahhah
Nooo
independent of the question... Biden is a soooooo sweet grandfather. 🥰
He’s so sweet he likes to grope and kiss 12 year olds.
Why?
Not my problem.
