Cheugy is a slang term gen z coined for out of style millennials. This includes side part for women, lasagna, vineyard vines, Coldplay, naming your car, being skinny and more...

My partner works as a teacher in a middle school, I work with high school and college aged youth - all gen Z. None of them have ever used this term.

There is this wild thing that happens where media and the internet try to pit generations against each other, and it's ridiculous. Maybe some online gen z-ers to use this term, do hate the generation (s) before, but most don't care. Most don't care what your hair looks like or your style or anything. Just like most Boomers I know don't call me entitled or lazy. Obviously there are people like this, but I don't think it's as prevalent as the pop news media and internet would have us believe. Most people just don't care that much about other things.

Also, none of this is new. Every generation has been pitted against the generation before since the dawn of time. Gen z hates us, we hate boomers, boomers hate their parents, so on and so forth. It's all nonsense and mostly over-hyped and made up.

I am definitely cheugy. I like a side part, lasagna and am skinny. The last one doesn't make sense. A lot of people are skinny lol. Even gen-z.

I don't fully understand what it means although I'm not a millennial, I'm Gen-X. That said, I am kind of out of touch with current trends (don't care). I still like mostly the music and films and stuff from the 80s, and I still sort of dress somewhat like it (but compromising with the latest fashion trends halfway). So I'm probably not considered so cool to most blasting 80s music when I drive.
