I moved to the Houston area from Mini California, AKA Connecticut, AKA a better California with rich history and less needles on the road. Anyway, everything is better down here and Greg Abbott is really smashing it as the governor, Cruz is ripping radical leftist politicians to shreds. A hell of a state and we're gaining ground fast!

Very positive. I like in Texas' little brother. If this state went lefty, I'd move there.

Full of superficial materialistic people who think that concern for the poor is 'elitist'.
Texans talk more about charity for Africans than anywhere I have been.
Ironic seeing as they bus their own poor out to California.
The people I met in Texas would talk about the number of bathrooms people had, what car they drive, and how the profit margin on Onion Rings at a drive thrus helped build the economy. Shallow silly people.
The etiquette was superficial.
People blamed the California fashion models and Instagram models for the poor quality of food and diet in Texas. They thought the California model industry was just making southerners feel bad about their cheese sticks diet. "I just want my daughter to know that the California body is unrealistic" it's not unrealistic, fruit and vegetables are normal. Southerners and Texans just eat crap and die early.
And the so called 'liberals' of Austin had no genuine left wing ideas, and talked more about 'expressing themselves' with nail polish and silly clothes than they did about the worker's wages.
Two "I can express my self" liberals were working on Christmas Day for free as a 'volunteer' when they were hired as a paid employee. The company could fire them if they did not comply.
People would fire people for not "having a personality"
Utterly vacuous empty people in stupid Texas.Regardless if you are an exception to the rule, what Texas should do is deny for ten years state citizenship or at least the right to vote for anyone moving from California. Californians move to escape socialism but they retain their socialists voting habits and as such are unfit for Texas citizenship.
The humidity sucks, the weather is erratic, and the massive influx of Californians and Yankees, as well as foreign immigrants from all over the world who seem to hate each other has greatly diminished the neighborly friendliness the state is generally known and liked for. Other than those aspects, things are pretty good.
I conceal carry, I believe in the preciousness and sanctity of life, and I love that they are going to bat against big tech. If I didn’t already live in a fantastically conservative state, I would definitely consider a move to Texas. Good luck!
Neutral. Good people, mostly. Spotty politics for most of my lifespan, up until a few years ago. Currently, my opinion of Texas is positive, but they used to be awful and very obnoxious not too long ago.
I have a few relatives in TX. Isn't Houston a liberal city?
I voted positive cause our flight from Australia involved a flight transition in Texas and I had an amazing burger at their airport while waiting for my flight home.
I have not been to Texas in 30 years but I remember it as a pretty awesome place. Too hot in the summer however. I expected to see people with cowboy hats but it was not like that at all. The people were nice too.
Texas is a State that has many Hurricanes / Storms so make sure you find a good place in Texas to live my late great uncle and my Aunt had no issue living in San Antonio Texas but everyone has their own taste to where to live
Never been there but I heard it's cheap and nice and Houston is a liberal city though so you might be disappointed living there.
I've never been to Texas, but since a U-Haul going from California to Texas is $10,000, and a U-Haul going from Texas to California is $20.00, that might shed some light on the matter.
Love it
Might move as well in the near future.Unstable boarder with unstable neighbors, freaking hot weather, tornadoes... I don't know man lol
Positive.
My opinion of California is negative.Love their gun laws they’re pro choice and the food is delicious and it’s right next to Mexico and Mexico is a lot of fun but waay too many fat people junkies in urban areas and black women who look like bulldogs but other than that Texas is alright
If they left the union, I wouldn't cry a tear or lose a moment's rest. They're a bunch of backward honkies who only "think" they're pro-Constitution, but they'll silence anyone who disagrees with them. As for Trump supporters, you're all a bunch of conned fools who don't know a damn thing about the man or what makes him tick. After 4 years of shit in the WH and still supporting his 10,000 + lies, you deserve each other. Sounds like you'll be among friends.
It’s pretty boring but I’ve only been to Houston. It’s definitely not as white as New York City. The nightlife, and everything doesn’t interest me I found it to be bland. I enjoyed Denver, and Las Vegas, a lot more than Houston.
It's the ultimate right wing shit hole you call a state. I heard they support super racist laws over there yes I definitely wouldn't fuck around over with Texas coming from a black man.
We don't want your kind down here. We don't believe in physics.
I have no problem with Texas. I would move there.
