Anyone that says no needs to do some serious investigation. The advancements to society that come from all the things the space agencies do create all kinds of jobs. That puts all kind of money back into the global economy. Just do some simple searches instead of being uneducated idiots.
I support it as long as there is a general use benefit, so many things that have been developed for space exploration have come in to regular every day use.
I think it is a good thing. We need to explore our sense of curiosity of the universe around us. I think it is a good thing to "look beyond ourselves".
Definitely! We need to know what's out there. Better to spend money on space exploration, than waste it on weaponry that no one needs and would be better off without.
I like the idea of space exploration but I have always wondered what year the first space battle will be, people will definitely bring the military to space
Space exploration will help in so many ways. Not only will we learn more about the physical universe, it will open more doors to become a more advanced civilization through discoveries and inventions.
@Flower7 It's a bad idea for the US government to spend money on space exploration because they tend to spend resources inefficiently unlike free-market enterprise.
Space exploration isn't about just the generations alive today but it's about the future of humanity, so yes it's a good idea. We think more short term, a lot of people do.
Agreed, the longer we stay here the chances of extinction only get higher. It's entirely possible to focus on both world hunger and space exploration. We simply need to stop funding so much money into the military.
Yes and no. Great to evolve. But we have a ocean that we barely discovered what's deep down. And we need to fix a lot of things here before we go out there.

Yes, the potential of new scientific and technological insights are great from exploring the unknown, which space still largely is.

Yeah, there are a lot of scientific and even industrial benefits to doing so. And astronomy was the first science.
Send robots to space? Yes. Send people to space? No.
What’s wrong with sending people into space? Do you mean because it’s too dangerous for them?
I'm not sure what they can do that is better than a robot. But i was thinking of sending people to space to live and I don't think we are there yet
The technology developed for space travel usually had other applications in everyday life.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork.
I don’t think the heavens and outer space are the same thing.
Well actually that is the quote on warner von Brauns epitaph. The nazi scientist and the head honcho for nasa for years
No like the gov should stop being so nosey and let the aliens live in peace
Hell all they do is spend it on whatever anyway. This is no different.

We are going to exhaust the supply of rare metals needed for chips and batteries. Other planets will eventually be our only source.
Space exploration is necessary.
I like the idea of space exploration but I have always wondered what year the first space battle will be, people will definitely bring the military to space
Yes. Why? Because I don't want to just Survive. I WANT TO THRIVE
It's where a lot of the new technological advancements come from.

Yes though in a few years there may no longer be a need with private enterprise now taking serious interest in space.

Why do so many say that we "need to fix things here FIRST"? Can't we do both at the same time?
@Xtcy2083 apparently not, have you seen this world?
We can actually, our interests just need to take a huge turn.
