Are black people really more likely to commit crimes or is that just a stereotype?

I try to judge people individually, not by race but I'd be lying if I said I don't look extra careful at black people. Its something I have to work on but at the same time maybe the stereotype is true.

Its true but not because of their genetics or something. has to do with the way a lot of them are living. In poor, run down areas and lots of single parent households with no daddy. Not saying that no daddy will make one a criminal but I am saying it statistically increases the chances. Crime per capita for African Americans I would say was probably less in the past before LBJ came into power and really destroyed the Black family unit. actually once upon a time Black families were less likely to ever break apart from divorce then say a white family in the USA. Drugs got into the neighborhoods and lets not pretend that drugs are something only done or sold by black people. Every nation on earth for the most part has ghettos and a red light district. That's true on every single continent on earth. The problem can be fixed as it's not due to skin color but bad policies (mostly nefarious) ravaging their communities.

Crime statistics in the western world show they are far more likely to commit crimes. Even when they are the are the overwhelming majority in a country you get wide scale genocides on a somewhat regular basis and things like Nigerian funded internet scams and slave trading.

Impoverished people are more likely to commit crime. Black people are more likely to be in those types of situations, as well as the us government bringing drugs into the black community

It’s a stereotype, in the UK it’s very regional and based more on social demographics than simply ethnicity.

It’s also often used by racists to fit their argument, they will look at say Birmingham and use knife crime but ignore burglary.

You are still far more likely in some areas to be stopped for being black and driving a decent car.

I feel like most of the black crimes are from the poorer black cities but that is because of poverty. It is more of a horrible stereotype that need to die, if we are discussing about black in poverty how about all the white, Asians, or hispanics who is also in poverty that commit crimes?

Just look at the crime statistics. 12% of the US population commits 50% of murders. Of that 12% 6% are males, of that 6% only 3 or so are of the prime criminal age. So half of the staggering US murder rate is caused by 3% of the population, young black males.

One of the big reasons is the culture developed to justify the welfare state, a huge culture of envy and a stark despise of law and order.
