Why do racists ALWAYS say black people commit the most crimes?

An attorney who is a family friend has once told my father that white people are the most charged per capita, but Black people are the most convicted per capita. Between the charge and the conviction, a lot can happen.

The truth is, Black crime rate is exceptionally high. I'm not gonna suger-coat about that. The punishment in that case would be deserved. However, white people get away with much more. What we ask is not for us to get a slap on the wrist, but for them to face exactly the same punishment as we do for the same criminal offenses.

Also, and here's another thing that people don't mention. 43% of the exonerated are usually Black. That basically means 43% of the innocently imprisoned are Black. They wouldn't tell you about it either.

The truth is, the whole talk about crime statistics is a distraction from the bigger picture. Why is that crime being committed? Do the circumstances allow for a better quality of life? Do you ever see petty theft or robberies in upper class Black neighborhoods in New York/Atlanta? The answer to that last question is HELL NO.

The thing about those statistics that makes ne take them with a grain of salt is that they don't break it down by age and class. Simply comparing race without taking in mind the other factors involved isn't going to give an accurate representation of the full picture. Poor white people commit crime just as much as poor Black people do, but we have less of them, and the study will not show that because that factor was not considered.

2. If someone says that black people commit more of a particular crime than other races, does that comment automatically qualify that person for the label of "racist" or do you look at crime statistics to determine whether the statement is factually correct?

3. There are national crime statistics available which categorize crimes by the race of the perpetrator and the race of the victim. If those statistics indicate that black people commit more of any particular crime, are those statistics "racist?"

Statistically it is true. 54% of violent crimes are committed by 12 1/2% of the population. (Black people.) If it is statistically true, that doesn't make it racist.
