2. If the vaccine even slightly works (Which it does) then if the odds of getting it are much much lower you have fewer cases. It is, obviously, an incomplete vaccine and is not completely effective. Also, the mechanics of transmission suggest that virus particles expelled (coughing, sneezing, etc) from the nose and mouth and then inhaled by others is a primary mode of infection. The vaccine does not instantly kill the virus. Not everyone wears a mask. Demands for perfection are the enemy of the good.
