Anti vaccination is just plain stupid. Back in the American revolution troops would get cuts in there arms and rub small pox victims pus and scabs to get a smaller infection in the blood to survive an outbreak. It's called variolation. For this time was the most sensible risk vs reward outcome. As medical science advances better treatments like vaccines was created. With better risk vs reward percentages.

Still applies. They can’t force you. But society can isolate you by private businesses requiring vsx
The same thing can be said in reverse with your pro life talk. Pro life but y’all don’t wanna take the basic measures to save someone else’s life. It was basically a flip between ideals, Republicans are pro choice while democrats are pro life.
the Amy Barrett Supreme Court case that just came down about being allowed to attend church on religious grounds even if it's on "lockdown" will also apply to the vaccine issue, but no one knows it yet

It's not true that the vaccine only protects you. Not everyone gets the vaccine at the same time, and the vaccine eventually runs out. There are still opportunities to catch viruses. There is a flu vaccine, for example, but people still get the flu. But the more people who are protected, the less easily it spreads. Think of it this way: imagine we're roommates. I get a flu shot and you don't. The flu shot lasts about six months. Say you catch the flu right at the end of the flu season, and it's a bad one. You've still got it when my flu shot runs out, and now I get the flu. If you got a flu shot you'd also be protecting me, here.
Anyway, I think there are two separate questions. There is the question: is it *wrong* to abstain from the vaccine? and the question: should it be *illegal* to refuse to get the vaccine? I think the answer to the first is yes, and the answer to the second is no. I think you ought to take it, but I don't think the state should have the power to force you to take it at gunpoint. And, it actually isn't mandatory, anyway, for all of the reasons that it would be bad if it were mandatory. Generally, epidemological interventions are effective without the use of brute force; sexually transmitted infections are much better controlled than they were in the 80s, and no state has ever made it mandatory to wear a condom during sex.
If you're worried about the state's power to coercive - and you should be - you should think less about vaccines and more about ICE facilities, in my opinion.I'm sorry but we vaccinate our children for smallpox and all kinds of other stuff and the Maine reason is not just to save them from getting it but is to keep them from giving it to other people so when you decide not to take a vaccine what you're doing is you're risking exposing me to a virus that's the concept. So let's say I'm medically compromised I can't get the vaccine and you just decide you just don't want to take the vaccine because because you just don't want to and then you go and get the virus and you give it to me who's the victim there
You do realize that the reasoning behind abortion is not actually that phrase right? Its just a small slogan hiding a much larger topic that experts has been debating for decades. But regardless of all this, its not like anyone is forcing you either.
There are consequences for our choices and actions. I will give this analogy: Anti-vaxxers complaining it's unfair not being allowed in public because they didn't get the vaccine, that's like a criminal (for a serious crime) complaining it's not fair for him to go to jail when everyone else gets to be free! It was his choice to commit the crime and he suffered the consequences of it. Well the best solution to not go to jail is don't commit the crime in the first place! Your choices: don't take the vaccine, the consequence is you will have to quarantine and self isolate or take the vaccine and you will be allowed in public and at your job.
That's easy.
Vaccine may be forced upon you because you catching a potentially deadly virus and then spreading it around is something that affects health and well being of other people.
Abortion is a personal issue that only affects the pregnant woman who chooses to undergo it.It's your employer's choice to choose what is safest for the employees. No COVID-19 is the safest. You don't want the vaccine, then you don't have a job with that employer. Endangering the health and welfare of your coworkers is grounds for firing. I won't be taking the vaccine, but that's because it won't work on me. It needs an immune system to work, and I don't have one. As for abortion, it doesn't affect the lives of other people. The fetus may be stillborn or die in the womb even without an abortion. Since abortion is illegal once the baby can be removed and survive it isn't a person until then.
Welcome to the Democratic party! You will loose any freedom you thought you had!
Lets make it even simpler. Try to vaccinate me and I’ll fucking murder you where you stand. Who wants to try it?
I've been saying this would happen since this first began
It isn’t just your fucking body at risk dumbass. But keep trying.
Even with that being said, maybe look at it as equal opportunity punishment for all.
Yeah it is ur body ur choice but it’s ur bosses business his choice? If he doesn’t want people infecting his staff that’s up to him. U do what’s best for u and let them do what’s best for them.
Because it effects everyone... your abortion is your choice ans effect ls no one.
the context doesn't apply but go off
Amen!
