Why is my neighbor making extra noise?

They’re making noise when my baby is sleeping and napping. They’re being demanded to leave during a certain date, if they don’t leave they face eviction. They contacted the property manager saying I made noise (complaining about my 1 year old) and I received a letter saying keep the noise down. I have but so much control over my 1 year old. So why do you think they’re making the noise?

To provoke me to react and get kicked out

I am having the same problem. Very noisy neighbors above me who played music (the thump, thump, thump, kind, not soft!) at 1:00am, 2:00am, and even 3:00am. I complained and they were asked to leave. They don't own the unit thankfully, otherwise I'd be having the same problem. So now, they are getting even by playing music more (Dec 21st was the last time around 11:00pm). But I am happy they are leaving, and cannot wait till they do by the end of this month. I don't make noise but when they have their music on during the day, I turn up my tv to drown them out or play white noise.
Good luck to you. Dont worry about them--they can't do much about a 1 year old who is still a baby and I'm sure management will understand.

More then likely it's a mix of A and B. I'd talk to the property manager to simply cover your butt. Because there is a chance they will create more issues the closer to their move out date they get. Also don't interact with them always deal with the property manager.
