+1 yThink about what's been happening: a new virus emerges, and the media immediately begins pushing the "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" narrative, based on a projected 5% IFR from rushed data given by the ever-reliable Chinese government. Governments around the world respond respond like lightning- lightning that's gotten stuck in molasses and trapped in amber, locking down locations months after it could've done any good. People lose jobs and businesses, and are kept from losing their homes only because of eviction moratoriums that cripple landlords (who aren't all big heartless corporations, but more likely to just be multiple property owners). The traditional media spews constant fear, and social media turns into an Orwellian nightmare, as Little Sister is always watching you, demanding constant declarations of your allegiance, and launching struggle sessions on those who refuse to comply with her dictates. Faces began to be covered by masks, reducing communication abilities for the deaf and autistic, and crippling the speech-learning and face-reading of infants, and schools either shut down or went remote, doing further harm to children.
Time passes. It rapidly becomes obvious that the danger's been overblown, but curiously, very few people are willing to accept that. Governments focus almost exclusively on case numbers, ignoring that mass testing protocols have been implemented everywhere, so yeah, you're GOING to find huge numbers. More importantly, the majority of cases are asymptomatic. Plenty of people are dying WITH Covid, but the average number of comorbidities (which doesn't include old age, the single biggest risk factor) is 4, and the average age of death "from" Covid is above the average life expectancy in every single country on Earth. Pointing this out gets you, at best, dirty looks, and all too frequently, thrown punches- I speak from experience, here. Then it comes out that governments worldwide have been reporting every death within 30 (or 28, in some cases) days of a positive Covid test as a "Covid death", even when the cause of death was a heart attack, car accident, or gunshot wound.
It eventually turns out that original-recipe, first-detected-and-most-dangerous-strain Covid is both less lethal and less contagious than chicken pox.
By the point that was firmly known, however, the battle lines had been drawn- political polarization had been increasing for quite a long time anyway, and Covid paranoia sent it skyrocketing, even in places that had been more politically sane.
And all this was in the first few MONTHS. Well before "variants" (that supposedly ignore centuries of well-proven medical and evolutionary logic and somehow spread faster despite being MORE deadly, somehow) and "vaccines" (based on a technology with an almost unbeatable track record for killing test animals), and "mandates" (take the untested gene therapy or lose the ability to eat out/work/leave your house, because THAT is fine for us to do!).21 Reply- +1 y
People have lost lives, yes, and they've lost loved ones. But more long-term, they've lost money and jobs and businesses and rights and faith in humanity. The veneer of civilization has faded, for quite a few of them, and what was waiting underneath was not a return to feral savagery, but a rising authoritarianism, in both the government and social senses. Put bluntly, why would they WANT to keep living in world gone mad? Respect for law and order is contingent on it having a degree, at least, of respect for you; when one goes, the other follows. I lost a friend, younger than I am, to a heart condition he couldn't get treatment for, because the surgery was deemed "elective", and those were banned by a governor who would, mere weeks later, go out and stand shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other protesters, in memory of a man who'd died resisting a legitimate arrest. I got mad; most people, by that point in time, would simply have fallen into despair. Why NOT start using heroin? Stop wearing a motorcycle helmet? Start mugging people on the street? What, exactly, do you have to lose?
Here's the kicker: if you were to look at the actual data of death rates- not that which has been politically twisted- I would bet you everything I own that they're higher in areas that are more locked down. The heavier the restrictions, the higher the death rates, probably almost one-to-one.
I left Illinois for Florida, and haven't looked back. The people I left had been conquered by fear- mind and body, heart and soul, all had surrendered to it. Here? Here, the epidemic is OVER. The fear is OVER. We're not quite fully back to normal yet; the damned masks still pop up in places. But we're as close as anyone's gotten yet.

2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Deaths by Fentanyl poisoning has gone up at alarming rates. Fentanyl is made in China and shipped to Mexico where it enters the USA 🇺🇸. You can die from drugs ordered on Snapchat laced with fentanyl. It doesn't take very much to kill a person. So, along with a virus that has killed hundreds of thousands worldwide, they are also killing us by poisoning us. My question is, why does China was so many Americans to die?

I put "all of the above" but I do feel like drug overdoses probably outnumber the rest of the causes of death on here.

+1 yThey were close. It's not COVID, but rather the COVID vaccines. Nearly everyone who got COVID survived it. I did (without the damn shots).
We're not told all the problems from those shots. What the vast majority of people are unaware of is the HIGH volume of side effects from the shots. Look at VAERS. gov and see the various types of medical issues from the shots. Remember, those are just the REPORTED issues. It's estimated that this is only 10% of the total.
With problems like myocarditis and pericarditis, your life span is usually about 5 years or less. Other medical issues from the shots will also shorten your life. What's equally as bad, is how those shots purposely screw up your natural immune system, making you more susceptible to dying from diseases your body would normally be able to fight off.
Get prepared. We're going to have a LOT of deaths over the next few years - thanks to people like Bill Gates and Anthony Faucci who pushed for this man-made pandemic to happen.00 Reply - 6.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
m +1 ymy guess would be that... due to COVID overwhelming hospitals, clinics, drug supplies and everything else health related... a lot of people with other conditions that were not COVID, found themselves in a more dire situation than they already were and then didn't get proper medical care of attention
I personally know or heard of a few that passed away due to complications from other NOT COVID conditions, and most of them did not go to a hospital on time, and when they tried, well.. it was too late or, they didn't get the proper care on time because of clinics being that overwhelmed22 Reply- +1 y
right... but we also have to consider something else that is quite important
statistics and data are open to interpretation, therefore manipulation of variables, for example...
is this data from absolutely all insurance companies or just one? or just a group of them that belong to the same owner
also, what is the reach of their data? it could very well be that these company/companies had 1000 of their clients die in 2020... and then, they had 1400 of their clients die in 2021
even if they had 1000 clients die in 2020... and then 2000 clients die on 2021, they could just say OH LORD, a 100% increase in date rates!! we must increase the cost of our insurance!!
2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There's a lot of speculation that these are vaccine deaths. It would certainly make sense. If you're trying to say it was 40% higher compared to 2020 then that would correlate perfectly. As we see a perfect correlation between the huge spikes in deaths around mid Dec 2021 when the vaccine rollout began in extremely old and vulnerable people. The vaccine is clearly very potent, with the registered and anecdotal side effects.
