•Cancel culture
•Trigger warnings
•Woke politics
•Political correctness

I wonder why.

Generally speaking, the answer to the question would be - - - - - neither and both. The answer relating less to a given philosophical premise than to the character of the individual or sometimes the culture more generally. The other caveat being that the terms "right" and "left" don't actually mean all that much. Both rather coming from the French revolution when supporters of the monarchy and the Church sat to the right of the Speaker's chair in the French National Assembly, while those opposed sat to the left.
To be sure "right" and "left" have become shorthand for "conservative" and "liberal," but in general the classical definition of those terms and what they represent do not conduce to intolerance. Further along the spectrum, of course, intolerance is more characteristic. See also the Marxists on the "left," for example. On the "right," see the Falangists in Franco's Spain.
So, long story short, the terminology matters and to attribute a characteristic to one side or the other requires a more precise definition of the terms than is supplied by the question. To repeat, "conservatism" and "liberalism" are not inherently intolerant.
That all said in rather long preface, a fair case can be made that what Americans call "liberalism" has become quite intolerant. This illustrated by "woke"-ness and "cancel culture." The interesting this about this being what has brought this about.
The liberalism - particularly on college campuses and the like - that dominated the United States in the 1960s and 70s made tolerance and freedom points of principles. The old line was, "do your own thing" and "fight the man."
The new language of the "left," again as expressed in "woke" "cancel culture," is, in effect, "You better do what the man tells you to do." Certain words cannot be spoken. Certain terms are deemed to offensive.
That this is a "liberal" intolerance is not too surprising. The generation that protested on the campuses in the 60s. The "hippies" and the like, are now the people in authority, They are the presidents of major corporations. They are college professors. They are politicians. In effect, the rebels of the 60s and 70s are now in positions of authority. The ethos they espoused they now are in a position to impose.
Further, technology has played a part. The radical individualism that characterized the 60s and the 70s was in reaction to what was deemed the conformity of the 50s, and prior to that the needs of wartime. That conformity reinforced by the media of the time.
Mass circulation newspapers and magazines, movies, (first silent and then "talkies" and newsreels) then radio and television. All reached a wider audience than ever before, but caused people to view the world through more or less the same prism. Conservatives and liberals may have differed, but all saw essentially the same world.
The "left" of the 60s and 70s reacted against this. Now, however, technology - the Internet, cable, satellite radio, I-phones and all the rest - allow everyone to view the world through their own self-selected prism. This atomization of the culture makes it harder - and in some cases impossible - to shape society according to a common ethical standard.
CONT.
The Left - which brings with it the school of social engineering (see also the Great Society programs of the 60s) - has reacted to this by showing less tolerance for dissenting views. By demanding adherence to a common ethical standard as embodied in culture and language and thus "woke"-ism and "cancel culture."
Where this trend will go remains to be seen. Given that Americans in general, if the latest Democratic party polling data is any indication, seem highly resistant to "cancel culture" and the like, it will in time fade away. Much as the culture of the 60s and 70s passed away, to be succeeded by the more traditional cultural standards of the 80s and 90s.
However, for the time being, in broad terms it is not unfair to say that the "left" has become more intolerant. Its' intolerance being a manifestation of its reaction to cultural and technological forces that it cannot fully control.
Both sides seem to be entrenched in their views these days, and I think it's sad we can't see the other side of political issues (at least here in the United States of America). With that being said, I'm going to have to say the "Left Side" of politics is generally more tolerant of opposing views than the "Right Side".
The "Left" tends to bicker with each other, since most of them aren't cult members, and actually think for themselves. I've also noticed they are more likely to let the other side have their point of view, which is probably why they fail so miserably in politics. Why do I say this? Because if they can't all agree with each other, and blindly shut out the other side, then they lose seats in Congress, Senate, etc., and also lose elections. Hell, we can't even get Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez (AOC), and Elizabeth Warren to agree with each other these days, let alone a slightly-left (perhaps Center) Joe Biden, and AOC.
The "Right", on the other hand, has turned into a cult. They all just blindly agree with each other, and their only ideology is to hate the "left", "libs", "Dems", etc. The entirety of their agenda is intolerance: Intolerance of other religions, races, women, sexuality, and cultures in general. If you don't believe me, just take a look at Marjorie Taylor Green, Rick DeSantis, Mike Pence, etc.(I'm not adding Donald Trump to the list because he's not really "Right", or "Left"-he's his own separate entity of madness).
Finally, I'm not sure what "Cancel Culture", "Trigger Warnings", "Woke Politics", or "Political Correctness" has to do with anything. If anything, I hear both the "Left". and "Right" complain about those aspects of society.
I think both left and right can suffer from group think. So both can be pretty hostile. I really can’t say who’s more tolerant than the other. I tend to take note more of independent thinkers who do not identify with either side but dissect issues critically without the influence of those around them.
One group has a lot more power than the other.
With todays left its my way or the highway. It use to be they were suppose to be more tolerant. Not anymore.
And the right may not agree. But they are at least willing to have a conversation to see if there's common ground.
In the USA, it's literally the exact opposite lol.
@EnglishArtsteacher yea in the US the right tends to be less tolerant and able to debate in a constructive way.
Not in my experience. Like I said the left use to be more tolerant. But I also see that no matter which side people lean toward, the more extreme left or right the less tolerant they are.
It the extremist on both sides that ruin politics in the United States. And people are quick to assume and label others they don't agree with. .
Like if you want a strong border or you don't believe in vaccine/mask mandates you must be an anti-vax trumpster. If you are against the wall or for mandates you must be a sheep leftist.
In reality I believe those extreme versions of the left and right are a minority bunch that just scream loud making it look like they speak for the majority.
You make a lot of good points, however in my experience the right is less tolerant. I believe that the majority of Americans are neither left or right but more centered and the extremes of both sides do tarnish and degrade the dialogue and process for everyone else. It’s just my experience but with the left I find more discussion and processing of new information whereas the majority of more extreme right wingers would not get sources as deeply and be harsher and more open to very critical of the left of not down right abusive. Occasionally they would say that God is on their side or that there was a war coming in America, or be prone to labeling people who were legitimately doing good on the opposite side as evil and so on. I’m lucky that I’ve been immersed in both political cultures and came out being very independent. Although anymore I really think that politics is one of the worst things that humanity has created.
@EnglishArtsteacher I'd have to disagree. What she described is exactly how it is in the US.
Opinion
55Opinion
None of them they are equally entitled to their opinion. If the left takes over the right say: The nation is going and socialism is coming. All the values of our grandparents and what our nation was built on get lost. We must embrace our traditions and we all have to be Christians because that´s what we always have been.
Everything progressive is bs because they wanna destroy our families and societies.
The left on the other hand is pointing fingers and tries to destroy everyone that doesn´t have their opinion. They try to bring out women in leading positions while forgetting that not every woman likes to be a leader.
They talk about equality and that everyone should be equal while "forgetting" to mention that wouldn´t take their leadership away. All people are equal but some people are a bit more equal is what in East Germany people used to say of their leadership referring to a small group of people in leadership that more money and possesions than everybody else.
Political correctness isn´t bad in itself it just because bad when it is either used hypocritical or when it´s broken off every day life and makes language artificial for no reason.
Tough call. I view the right as more generally intolerant, plus it’s seemingly more ignorant because I view it as unprovoked, it’s just general disdain towards cultures that don’t fall in line with their own expectations, and that to me is pretty indefensible.
For the left, they can be pretty intense and vigilant about their brand of intolerance too. But with them, I’m more understanding of it because I view it as “intolerance of intolerance”, which is ultimately virtuous. Like I think a lot of the noise wouldn’t be there if there wasn’t ACTUALLY tons of intolerance in this country, and the world in general. As with anything, though, when you start LOOKING for problems, you’ll be able to find some where there might not be any, or something minor will be made into something major. People are generally dramatic, so when certain individuals get involved, look out, lmao.
So…. in my estimation, there’s A LOT —like TONS— of work we need to do to get the attitudes and thoughts of the people here to be more universally decent. I’d say our lack of that is America’s biggest flaw…. great country, but very shitty citizens, on the whole.
People that filter their morality through their politics are people I rather not be around. I don't care if they are left or right of me. In many comments in the past I have clearly stated politics is a turnoff and once warned to knock it off, I WILL leave or remove you if you continue. I generally avoid political questions for this reason. I try to stay open-minded and filter my politics through my morality. If something is wrong, it is wrong regardless of who is doing it. I have many friends who are to my right and to my left politically. We are friends because we chose to talk about things that unite us. This is also why I don't watch news broadcasts much with others. Not long ago one of the girls I see was with me while walking she took my hand and said (name redacted) I don't know why but being with you is nice. We always talk about pleasant things, visit some wonderful places and try new things. Politics ruins EVERYTHING it touches. If all you can do is develop diarrhea of the mouth and spew politics, please do me a favor and stay the fuck away from me!
Pew Research already answered this question
"liberals are more likely to stop talking to someone because of politics. Roughly a quarter (24%) have done so, compared with 16% of consistent conservatives and around 10% of those with more mixed political views."
https://www.pewresearch.org/journalism/2014/10/21/political-polarization-media-habits/
And this was in 2014 its gotten worse since/
From American Survey Center:
"Ending friendships over political disagreements occurs more among liberal and Democratic-leaning Americans. Democrats are twice as likely as Republicans are to report having ended a friendship over a political disagreement (20 percent vs. 10 percent). Political liberals are also far more likely than conservatives are to say they are no longer friends with someone due to political differences (28 percent vs. 10 percent, respectively). No group is more likely to end a friendship over politics than liberal women are; 33 percent say they stopped being friends with someone because of their politics." https://www.americansurveycenter.org/research/the-state-of-american-friendship-change-challenges-and-loss/
The Overton window is giant. US republicans however will try to convince you that the Overton Window is actually smaller than their wittle johnson. And that their communist brain worms told them that ultra right wing Democrats are "Socialists" and "Commyunizmists". That's the dumbest sh*t on planet earth.
Poor people around the world are socialists. They have to deal with reality. Poverty forces them to face it every day. They have to deal with other opinions at gunpoint. They tolerate it or they get taken off the planet. Capisce Romeo?
They can't smoke their own belly button lint and survive multi decades on Fox News TV script writing circle jerks. Like your soft, coddled, boojified "conservative" BS artists who live the whole life on fantasy land. They'd survive all of 10 minutes in the jungles of Colombia with actual Communists.
Like Michael Parenti once said "Reality is left wing. Reality is radical." Get mad and go figure some sh*t out cupcake.
I don't see obvious differences between political sides.
The whole of society has become a society in which adults have given up on being adults to be eternal adolescents. This happens in all modern societies because people have been deprived of responsibilities and consequently the value of the person as such has been removed.
The person changes from being responsible to being a function of spending and the economy. But woe to you if you criticize corporations. You are magically labeled a socialist or a communist or mr sandman because Americans have no idea what the things being referred to are.
In fact what they call woke culture should be called marketing culture because that is it. By dint of segmenting the markets, the market segments have become the identity of the consumers who remained adolescents inside.
American left and right are the same thing. Cancel culture has always existed and is typical of Protestant / Evangelical churches and from them derives tribalization, generalized hypocrisy now called political correctness etc...
I do not see any tolerance on either side, each party believes itself to be the master of the only truth and sees the devil in the others.
Right.
If you disagree with the right side, they’ll maybe judge you at most.
Disagree with the left side or let them find out you’ve said 1 offensive thing back in 2005 and suddenly you’re cancelled all around the world, will be labeled for life and lost your job.
I can see this. The right is immature and will probably just call you a basement dweller at worst online, but the left tends to dig into peoples' pasts more. They go for mentally and emotionally attacking the people they don't like, and that is far more damaging than middle/high school level insults.
Like, I can't see Grandpa Joe doxxing or attempting to cancel somebody online because they didn't agree that Blue Lives Matter. I can, however, see Stacey claiming some guy she's never met in person tried to rape her because he said feminism is a joke. Just some thoughts/hypothetical scenarios.
Neither one are legitimately "tolerant" (tell someone on the right you don't think abortion is "baby murder" and that a fetus isn't the same thing as a 9-month old delivered baby, and they lose their sh*t), but by far, the much, MUCH more intolerant ones are on the left, nowadays. The left are the ones who act like complete fascists (even uber-pussies like Trudeau and senile idiots like Biden), yet call everyone else "Nazis." I used to have an old saying: The left can't go more than a minute without projecting.
Next time you hear any politician speaking whether the right side or left side or independent or whomever just close your eyes and listen to their words they both want the same exact thing except for the use different wording to make it sound like they don't want the same thing that way they can get us to pick a side and make it look like they're fighting and arguing to keep us confused and to pick a side but I guarantee it if you gave every single one of them a lie detector test right now and ask him about covid-19 every single one of them would be lying
The right. With the right, if you disagree with them, they see you as misguided.. With the left, if you disagree with them you are evil, and must be destroyed at all costs.
With the left, several months of rioting, burning cities, and killing people, is peaceful porotests, while on January 6th, it was an insurrection and worse than what happened on pearl harbor or 9/11..
You can't reason with the left, you can't talk to them, and you can't disagree with them or you become the enemy..
They are pathetic.. Because any political ideology that can't stand up to criticism, disagreement, or scrutiny, is inherently weak and won't stand without authoritarianism and fascism, which the left always has been.
I'm glad those of us with a brain voted the same.. Here is the sad thing. I use to be pretty left leaning.. But now I have more in common with the right than the left..
That’s not true, often times the right is more religiously minded and with that comes the sense that God is with them and that he is right. Those that are not with the rules of God are wrong and in some cases evil. It’s verifiable and often times goes against other American ideals like the separation of church and state. I find that the left thinks this way much less and the right significantly more.
And yet the left called the burning of cities., destruction of businesses, and the murder of 50 innocents as peaceful.. Sorry the votes agree with me.
@Jay3344 Buddy. I WAS THERE WHEN IT WAS HAPPENING.. No media outlets. They destroyed my home town. They killed a black pawnshop owner because he refused to toe the BLM line.. Do your self a favor, Dont assume. It makes you look stupid. Unlike you, whose only source appears to be CNN and MSNBC, i was in Wisconsin when this was happening. you were not. They literally did between 1.5 and 2 BILLION dollars in damage. Do some research rather than choosing to have diarrhea of the mouth.
I was at my cousin's home, i had a gun, i was protecting his family. Someone like you doesn't understand the value of protecting ones family.
@Jay3344 Disagree all you like, your disagreement does not change what i saw first hand..

note the strong correlation between left wing areas and intolerance
Recently the left was trying to cancel everybody who said anything they didn't like. The right wasn't doing that BUT both sides will become equally extreme because the culture war is getting more heated. That's what happens when you never want to compromise on anything.
Re update: That's like if you lived in Stalin's Russia and you ask why would someone think Staling is worse than the people fighting against him. The left controls most of the media and Internet forums and they use that power to try and ban & destroy anyone who disagrees with them. They even ban people who work at one of their companies from speaking unapproved political views on their own time. An exec at Levi recently got fired for disagreeing with covid shots for kids. But her co-workers who support leftist ideas and talk about them in public all of the time still have their jobs.
There's probably not a huge difference, although the right certainly seem to have a much harder time distinguishing between "viewpoints" and facts.
The right don't agree with the left's opinions. The left don't agree with the right's "facts", which are very often demonstrably and blatantly inaccurate.
So women can be men and men can be birthing persons.
Seems reasonable.
The right is more tolerant.
I’ll tell you what, right wingers are going to say that its right, and the left wingers are going to say that it’s the left… and then there are centrists who are tired of both their shit and just want to be left alone.
I consider myself a Moderate (admittedly I do lean left), but I think it's cleat since 2015 in the USA, the "Left" is more tolerant than the "Right".
@EnglishArtsteacher The so-called "Left" is far more intolerant and violent.
@EnglishArtsteacher I’m a centrist, left leaning as well. I’m not from the USA, but the politics and ideologies in my country, is similar to that of the concept of the “left” and “right” in the USA.
I find myself agreeing more with the left than with the right. However, to overcome differences, people need to find a common ground. Every citizen wants what’s best for the country, and I’ve interacted with a few right wingers as well. As much as i disagree with their views, I think they’re good people. Not all right wingers are bad. They are tolerable of different races/culture/religion/sex etc. Perhaps not of “gender” or different sexual orientations, but definitely of other races and religion.
I never said all "Right-Wingers" are "bad", and I also never said I don't try to see their point of view.
I was just making the point that the Right-Wing seem to be far less tolerant than the Left-Wing in this day of age.
@EnglishArtsteacher by “bad” I meant people who are intolerant of other religions/races/gender.
I do agree, majority of the left does seem more tolerant than the right.
(I’m not implying that all right wingers are intolerant though) ^
100% the Right, they want to be left alone, they don't care if you're gay, straight, black, or whatever. The evangelicals have also largely shut up (as they've experienced the cult like religious doctrine of the left, not so nice to have people preaching to you all the time without prompt!). Now it's the left that is hostile and puritanical. "Dreads! When you are white, I dare say! Racist! Cultural Appropriation! [FEINTS]"
Lol is this a joke? The "Right" ENTIRELY cares about your sexuality, race, gender, etc.
most people can't accept differing opinions anymore. they don't even wanna learn about different point of views anymore. they confuse their feelings and opinions with facts and they invalidate any other way of seeing things by default. it doesn't even matter what side of the political spectrum they are on. they're all the same.
Neither. Go far left and you get identity politics, cancel culture, hatred of white people, hate for straight people and cis gendered people. It becomes fascist in the name of tolerance.
Go far right and you have Westboro Baptist church, a wide array of fanatical Christian groups hating one group of another based on race or sexuality while believing themselves chosen, nazi and alt right groups, and nutjob conspiracy theorists.
Both sides are shit.
Good question. I would say that both are somewhat intolerable of the other sides wants and views. I think that conservatives are slightly less tolerant of the left at this time. The left is still willing to negotiate despite wanting different things and the right tends to stonewall more often. It’s most apparent in the Supreme Court nominations recently and the roadblocking of major legislative effort.
I'm gonna pretend I don't see you deliberately trying to bias the question like a food source.
Neither are more tolerant. The right just pretends to be tolerant so that it's in a position to call out "dishonor" in debates.. as if honor should even factor into it but cry ig.
There are actually five categories, not two. From most to least tolerant they are:
Rural liberals
Urban conservatives
Urban liberals
Hornets, crows, sharks, gravity, parasites, and viruses
Rural conservatives
To your update: the reason why is because right wingers are dedicated to appearances and so are not above creating a bunch of ghost accounts to tilt a poll that makes themselves look good. Republicans have a histtory of loving to commit election fraud while complaining about election fraud..
But cancel culture, woke politics, political correctness, and more are all artifacts of the LEFT.
The right doesn’t cancel or censor to nearly the same extent as the left
I mean, look at the whole fiasco with Joe Rogan trying to be canceled.
You can't be on the side that has spent the last 40 years insisting boycotts be the ultimate check on the wealthy (in lieu of any regulation or oversight, ofc) and then get fussy when the internet makes boycotts actually feasibly, rebranding it cancel culture.
Anyway, it isn't some leftwing boogeyman that decided to make "woke" or "political correctness" scary words. That was the right who needed to train their viewers with some trigger words. Political correctness used to be just trying not to inflame so we can get the damn job done instead of argue the whole time. But the far right fake news, that makes a living out of arguing the whole time, found that to be a threat to their scam, and so trained their audience to hate and fear any attempts not to be a garbage person.
But it’s mainly the left that is cancelling people for having a different opinion
Or
Cancelling someone who said something years ago when we obviously know people change overtime
Or
Simply having a certain type of discussion that isn’t the mainstream left.
The fringe left, maybe. Most on the left don't actually care. And most "cancellations" don't seem to actually occur. And those that do occur are almost entirely for behavior (i. e. sexual assault), not words. The right wing media just says the problem is worse than it is to drum up fake outrage, because they know no one will ever vote for a Republican based on merits.
But none of that even matters. Even if it's the worst possible situation every bit as bad as right wing media says it is, it doesn't alter the fact that right wing media is tattling on their soul, exposing themselves as worthless lying scammers, by doing anyrhing, at all, to resist boycotts without revisiting their lying fake promise that we wouldn't need oversight or regulation as long as we could boycott anyone we wanted. I swear if girls were half as enthusiastic about blowjobs as young right wing men are about giving rich scammers more money, there wouldn't even be an internet because we'd never make it to the keyboards with 3 girls dangling from our nuts at all hours of the day.
From what I have seen... neither. They're both equally shitty and the closer you read into things, the more you realize that both lefties and righties really don't differ in terms of behavior. Their narratives may be different, but they're both guilty of gaslighting, name-calling and putting up mental blocks to anything they disagree with.
I agree, but since about 2015, the "Right" is objectively more harmful.
@EnglishArtsteacher Hm, yeah. There's a lot more from the right that I disagree with, especially when it comes to the current job market. To me there is no such thing as a "low skilled job". I make more than any fast food worker or cashier, but if I'm being honest, working either job takes more skill and resilence than what I do now. I worked at Target as a cashier and Half Price Books briefly and ngl those jobs made me want to fucking kill myself... yet they paid significantly less. Something is wrong with that picture.
Traditionally the right wing has been the political wing that burns books and so on. But the current new wave of authority loving neo liberalism is very unsettling to a traditional lefty liberal like me.
Whoops I mean to vote A.
The left a group of retards. The left are all SJWs. The left are the ones that are all gay and all pedos.
I don’t think you’re proving your point….
@annabananna Even if the RIGHT support Trump. The left are still the same ones that dance naked and insult Jesus Christ. I saw the videos were they were dancing half naked and spitting on statues of Jesus Christ.
The left is pure demonic!!!
I agree. The left are Satan's thralls.
@fireforeffect The left voted for Pedo-Biden and agreed to a CURE that came out in less than a year.
Complete Down syndrome @$$, retards.
I seriously wish to live in an island alone away from society entirely. The next thing that’ll happen is Pedophila being normalized and I’m not gonna tolerate that.
Conservatives believe in the Constitution and support freedom of speech and freedon to assemble. Liberals only believe in these things if you happen to agree with them. Otherwise they want to silence you.
It’s like this. If a conservative doesn’t like guns he doesn’t buy one. If a liberal doesn’t like guns he wants to ban them for everyone
Neither. They are tolerant when you agree with them. That tolerance goes right our the window when you don't. If you are will to call out both sides, you become a target for both.
I don't know if they're necessarily more tolerant, but from what I've noticed, people on the right are more open to trying to understand the other side, while Leftists just want everyone to think like them
They are both equally intolerant. The further left or right you go the more intolerant you are usually.

There is a church not far from where I live that will kick you out if you want to wear a mask so I def see it both sides.
@annabananna that's a very small example not indicative of the larger context
I’ve seen more but I don’t feel like listing all the examples I’ve seen.
my point is your anecdotes can NEVER equal data
Both sides are populated by a small vocal minority of screeching idiots.
Currently right. But then anyone who isn't in favour of Cancel culture, Trigger warnings, Woke politics, Political correctness and so on is basically a nazi in 2022. Joe Rogan is practically Hitler.
Conservatives play by the left’s rules and the left makes up the rules as they go along.
Neither really they both hate each other’s viewpoints
One way to measure it is the propensity for political violence. Antifa. BLM. I think the Left takes the trophy for intolerance.
Not sure, extremists on both sides are pretty non-tolerant.
Neither, they are both polarized in their own way of thinking 🤔
option c these questions push further divides.
How to have peace over countries: pray.
Most overlooked idea.
Ring wing is trying to take away rights. They burn books. They prevent people from speaking about certain topics.
Left wing is trying to take away the right to do any of those things.
Got it?
Sorry, it is the left that Burns Books.
Critical Race Theory is a lie, based upon other lies, but there is no book Burning here, Like the socialists of Europe have done in the past.
@fireforeffect Did you saw the video?
Proper English is, "Did you See the Video".
@fireforeffect not my native language. I would thank you for correcting me, but considering the context that wasn't with the intention of helping me out.
Anyway. I know the left also did bad things. Only reason I put the video on it's just because he talks about the right burning books here. Just to answer you when you say the left is the one that does that. Apparently both do that.
The left hates the right.
I pity the left.
A parade of morons.
I understand why you like this guy, he is very left wing. Still it is left wing that stifles free speech.,
As They Turn To Burning Bibles, Portland Rioters Show Their True Colors (thefederalist. com)
like the far right bans and burns books, refuses to teach history of minorities in schools?
@MrNameless
That is ridiculous!!
The Right vs. Left charade of politics is a false dichotomy.
... In that image both political parties are from the right. Socialism will never be known in the US; in these times.
I think they’re tolerant of different things and it depends on the person too
The left might grumble if the election doesn't go their way but they've never used violence to try to reverse the result. Not in my lifetime anyway.
@Pterodon Not only is that false, its 180 degrees from accurate. "Not in my lifetime anyway" BRUH lol!
www.nytimes.com/.../...blican-electoral-votes.html
The Facts
In the 2016 presidential election, Trump won 304 electoral votes to Hillary Clinton's 227. During the joint session on January 6, 2017, seven House Democrats tried to object to electoral votes from multiple states.
According to a C-SPAN recording of the joint session that took place four years ago, the following House Democrats made objections:
Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) objected to Alabama's votes.
Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) objected to Florida's votes.
Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) objected to Georgia's votes.
Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) objected to North Carolina's votes.
Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) objected to the votes from North Carolina in addition to votes from South Carolina and Wisconsin. She also stood up and objected citing "massive voter suppression" after Mississippi's votes were announced.
Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) brought up allegations of Russian interference in the election and malfunctioning voting machines when she objected following the announcement of Michigan's votes.
Maxine Waters (D-Calif) rose and said, "I do not wish to debate. I wish to ask 'Is there one United States senator who will join me in this letter of objection?'" after the announcement of Wyoming's votes.
"Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), a presidential candidate, released a plan Tuesday to secure elections against cyber threats and foreign interference, as well as to end voting suppression.
Warren's plan, which was published in an article in Medium, would have the federal government replace every voting machine in the nation with “state-of-the-art equipment,” specifically machines that will allow for hand-marked, voter-verified paper ballots." (This was prior to the 2020 election, and when the dust settled it then became conspiracy theory to question election integrity).

This is why censorship and indoctrination in schools is so fking dangerous. You have an entire generation of kids NOT KNOWING STUFF! And in this case a grown fcking adult that was living under a rock the past 60 years apparently. These people want power and being hypocrites does NOT affect them in the slightest. They revel in not playing by the rules they set for other people.
Seems like the right is behind most cancel culture.
