As far as the message of the question goes... One side just wants to be peaceful and left alone and live in a society where their rights can not be infringed upon, and the other side wants to call them White supremacists, sexists, racists, Nazis, homophobes, and all the other sh*t you can think of, while looting and rioting and throwing temper tantrums for literally four years because their evil witch queen didn't win the popularity contest to be the American Wizard of OZ, while also being the most anti-white, anti-male, anti-Trump, closed-minded assholes to ever exist in modern history. So the conservatives are the more tolerant people in society right now.

Well I believe leftists and democrats talk about tolerance a lot more. It seems they are pretty intolerant as long as you believe exactly like they do. If you deviate in any thing even slightly you are pretty much vilified and they want you shamed, fired and ostracized.
They are also more into class warfare and pitting group against group, race against race, gender against gender. They classify everyone into a "group" and proceed accordingly depending on what your group is. They do not believe in "JUSTICE" they reject that for "SOCIAL JUSTICE". Everyone isn't treated equally. They take into account your group first then proceed. If you are black or white or poor or rich or male or female they first want to know that and it affects their judgement and reaction.
Hence... they go crazy standing against any criticism of islam and go nuts over any intense screening that may be done for people trying to migrate from a dangerous area that has a lot of violence and anti-west hatred. Then they freak out that this Supreme Court judge is a Catholic. Is there freedom of religion or not? Can you discriminate against religion or not? She doesn't even have to do anything... just the mere suggestion that she goes to church and has faith is some damning offense. They kind of pick and choose when to be tolerant and when not to.
That author from Harry Potter just made some remark discussion women and being trans or not. It wasn't any outlandish statement... she is pretty liberal but everyone had a conniption that she even uttered the comment a trans person might not be 100% woman or something. They wanted her banned. They hated her. She didn't follow every cutting edge agenda exactly as she is to think and if she disobeyed... they could try and ruin her life.

The other day a very outspoken and confrontational liberal came into my job. She's a regular customer so she knows enough about me to know that I am a trump supporter. I also find her very physically attractive, so after she went on her usual spiel about how horrible Trump is I asked her if she wants to take me to dinner to tell me more about it. I was being completely cordial and transparent with her. Her response was "fuck you"! To me that is the epitome of a Democrat, only tolerant to people who share the same perspective which is essentially intolerance. Personally I don't hate her and I think there still a possibility she May reconsider and agree to spend some time with me.
In my circle of acquaintances, Republicans are as a rule more tolerant of differing opinions. There seems to be a greater amount of listening by Republicans that I know than there is by the Democrats I know. My social circle is pretty small, so I can't draw any general conclusions.
I can only speak for the US, where I live.
I used to consider myself a liberal, partly because I viewed liberals as tolerant and conservatives as intolerant, at least that was my perception based on a lot of things, but mostly the prominent rhetoric from liberals. But over the last six years or so I have learned that the exact opposite is true. Liberals today are by far the most intolerant and hate-driven segment of US society. You can see that clearly in the stuff posted daily here on GAG by some of the most prominent liberal users here, and of course in the real world all around us. You can almost see the foam around their mouths and the smoke coming out of their ears as you read what they have written. It's crazy.
I consider myself neither a liberal nor a conservative. But if I was forced to identify as one or the other, it would be conservative. I am truly ashamed of what liberalism has become today.

The Dems look have this insidious worldview where they place people in discrete categories (e. g rich and poor, white and black) and presume that differences between these categories is due to some kind of injustice in our institutions like racism or money in politics. If you like these institutions they proclaim that you must support the mechanisms within them by which they supposedly keep people of another category down. And so we have gotten to the point that if you stand for the anthem, the democrats will accuse you of being a racist who doesn't care about BLM. Ironically, that hapoened to a black man... I'm Catholic, and know the difference between conservative and right wing. Right wing is associated with extremism in the same way that being left wing is.
