What do you think of the World's largest plane destroyed by Russians?

The world's largest aircraft, the Ukrainian AN-225, was destroyed at its base airport by a Russian airstrike during Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

This aircraft, originally built to ferry the Soviet-built Buran space shuttle (which never flew), has been all over the world moving large quantities of materials (including COCID-19 medicines) and physically large pieces of equipment from one place to another. In many situations, it is the only way such material can be moved.

Now that the plane is lost, some of that material will no longer be moved, or will have to be broken down into smaller shipments. Much of the world is deeply saddened by the loss of the AN-225.

The Ukranian President gave free guns randomly to all to defend themselves and yet these idiots started shooting themselves before the Russians ever entered. YET these deaths will be counted as if Russians killed them but this your western media will never expose to you.
War is always awful and a lot of innocent people die as a result but to claim russia is evil is ridiculous when usa has killed millions by justifying that they are doing it for a good cause, just the same russia has their own cause. Just keep in mind that the Ukrainian started killing themselves before anyone invaded, and the ukranian piece of sht president now screams for help. SMH

AN-225 was not a very cost efficient air craft. I mean there was only one built and it was for a very specific purpose.

In general air transport is very inefficient in turns of cost to payload... so it is only when time is a major factor and there are plenty of other air craft that meet industries need of moving cargo rapidly. So the lost of the An-225 is insignificant.

I don't really think anything. I probably should. But I think I've become desensitized to the media news. I'm not a normally ruthless and callous type of person. I grieved deeply when ISIS was destroying historical monuments. But then I stopped caring about these things and the news. That was the last time I ever really cared.

No one really knows why they didn't fly it out, except that the Russian attack on its airport was very swift, and unexpected. Very few thought that Russia would actually invade Ukraine.

Ukraine knew the invasion was coming before the 1st day tho. They were warned by the U. S. weeks in advance, I think. That said, I guess if you have to defend an entire country, 1 non military plane is probably not that high on the priority list. They probably had their hands full with getting ready.

Putin has really messed up up the world. Ukraine is already in the EU I would not surprise me if they end up joining NATO which is exactly what Putin did not want.

Ukraine is not a member of the EU. Even with all political will, this is not something to happen overnight.

There is no process of fast-tracking an EU membership. So even to invent one would take up the equivalent time. Apart from that, the EU itself has current and future military elements, which would automatically mean a case of collective defense for all (similar to a NATO article 5 scenario). I can't see that happening soon.

I also watched about how all these children with cancer had to be evacuated, and all these babies with health problems are in a basement somewhere getting oxygen by from a nurse by hand.

The AN-225 didn't carry those. It dealt with humane transport like huge parts for wind turbines, electric power transformers, airplane parts, as well as bulk goods like food and medicines.
