If a man is married and wants to have a vasectomy it is required by law that the wife signs giving consent. Why does no one talk about this?

because this is not accurate...

some doctors and some insurance companies make it part of their policies in order to provide their services, that the couple is informed of the procedure that affects them both, as a couple... and this is in order to prevent lawsuits but is not required by law

in fact... the actor Dax Shepard got a vasectomy without the written consent from her actress/wife Kristen Bell, and there were no legal consequences for this, because it is not against the law

Yeah, f*ck that! If a woman can get an abortion whenever she wants with literally no say-so from the father of the child, then a man can 100% get a vasectomy without the wife's "consent," no matter what the law says. No law can control what I do with my body, just like no law should control what a woman does with her body. I'd sooner kill people who stood in my way than deny me my choice of what I do with my body. "The wife needs your consent." I'd slap whoever said that to me.
I'd say more on this issue, but I don't want to piss myself off at how f*cked this is.

Not sure where you are getting this information, but I got one with out my wife having to sign off on it. According to the National Institute of Health (link provided below.)

It states that ; "It is not a legal requirement to involve both partners in the decision-making and consent process. There is a widespread misconception that a wife must consent to her husband undergoing vasectomy."

Never heard of that before, here where i live it's usually the wife who needs the permission of her husband about nearly everything but they are getting their freedom more and more with time...

When it comes to this point that i need a permission of my wife to get such things done than for i'll start breaking the laws, no one in the world can tell me what i can or can't do...

Especially that i'm somewhat a traditional man who believes in gender roles and that the husband is the head of the house...

Anyways i won't undergo such surgeries...
The only thing that my future wife will sign are the marriage papers 😂

We also have to register (in the USA) for selective service. Meaning we can litteraly be used for cannon fodder. The penalty for not registering is very harsh.

The reason why men need our consent to do this is because we would never be able to have children. I would not give consent for my husband to do this because I want children. If he marries me then it is expected we have children and he helps me raise them.

That isn't true. It is common for practice for doctors to ask about it but there isn't a law or rule.
