I see so many people view it as an accomplishment for the boy.
Just because the victim might enjoy the rape doesn't mean the rapist is not a scumbag.
Some women might orgasm from rape, does this mean the rapists are not rapists?
The orgasm of the victim is not justification for the rapist.

There does seem to be a bit of a culture war around expecting people to stick to a certian purity when it comes to genders. I think the fact that the genders are different is being obscured by right wing media and they do it by claiming that it's left wing media doing it. No one would be insisting these two are the same if the right didn't decide to automatically oppose the left insisting that women be given equal pay for equal work. But right wing media has trained it's followers to expect sweeping broad standards to be applied to everything they disagree with all at once, while the standards for things they agree with are so packed with nuance they may as well not exist. This is on purpose.

But the fact is women and men are different and we can't just ignore intent. It is the difference between a fox in the hen house and a hen in the fox's den. We all know what the fox in the hen house is up to. To project that intention onto the hen in the fox's den is disingenuous. It is spiteful at best and trying to justify the fox in the henhouse at worst.

All that said, if it's against the law the punishment for breaking it should absolutely be the same. Just because the crime is effectively victimless when a woman does it to a boy doesn't make it any less a crime. She could have focused on men her own age. I'm irritated that the right has turned whether or not we should enforce the law into a culture war, but the fact is it is the law and should thus be fully enforced until such a time that we as a society decide it should no longer be a law.

Yes, they should get the same punishment but this doesn't happen in all cases with the same punishment my former neighbor was age 18 and took a bath with this boy who was under the age of 13, the boy was 12 years old, this person she was a trouble maker and there were Cities who didn't even allow her to live in them and I know a guy who came upon her one time in a car and she was with a car full of guys who were passing her around so she never wanted this guy to see her or even talk to her cause she knew he knew this about her, back to the boy, whether she had sex with the boy age 12 is beyond my knowledge but she was one sick woman and it was in the newspaper too.

Absolutely BUT I think there needs to be proof it was faked. It is a delicate balance in a victim not being believed or unable to prove their case vs a straight up faker.

The last thing we want to do is punish actual victims further by making them too afraid to report because they don't have enough evidence.

The problem is finding what that equitable time actually is. Some rapists have been let off with time served cause "he was a good kid" or some other bs excuse. The actual number of cases that get reported vs actually result in a sentence is abysmal.

In both false reporting and actual cases, there needs to be strong punishments that are actually enforced.

Rape is not a subject to be taken lightly and for false accusers to treat it like one is horrendous and I wish all the worst things on them.

"That is a good/popular kid and wouldn't do something like that"

Then you can have actual victims then being accused of lying and filing false reports. You can have rapists even using it as a threat:

"Nobody is gonna believe you and if you report it ill say your lying and you'll end up in jail"

A lot of time they do have evidence of sex occurring, where it ends up hard to prove is if it is done with consent or not.

How do you prove you didn't give consent? Some say fight but what if your drink was spiked? What if it is a loved one doing it and your made to fear ruining the family? What if you just can't fight back without being killed?

Shouldn't but we need to make sure it doesn't happen. Rapists shouldn't get off with no penalities but it happens. There could very well be a vindictive judge who punishes a victim for not being able to prove their case. Judges are human too and have their own opinions and agendas. We cannot make it harder for victims to report and a judge like that can make it extremely terrifying for a victim to come forward.
