How far back do mortgage lenders look?

how far back in your credit report do morgage lenders look? can they see the details of the loans your paying off? or do they just get to see if your making your payments on time?

They see the whole history from your first credit card. So do I as a pa/ma landlord who pulls from all credit and criminal sources.
—That being said, most medical bills fall off after seven years. I think bankruptcy, car repossession, and judgments that are not updated falls off after 7 but maybe 10 years.
—the more times your credit is pulled, the lower your score. Do NOT open any credit if you are planning house purchase in next 5 years as Age of Account greatly affects your credit Score. Utilities and Rental payment greatly affect your score. Paying off 36 year car loan in 26 months greatly affects your Score.

They get to see everything still outstanding and 6 years prior is standard
