Since obesity is rampant in our society, that might give people motive to rape. It would be nice if somehow we considered us and our loved ones as recipients of that which we want to do. There is so much people feel entitled to do to others that they wouldn't want themselves or their loved ones to experience.

Yeah, worse punishments haven't stopped rape. In the dark ages they wouldn't wait for you to get a fair trial and then just lock you up. Yet, rape never stopped.

I personally feel that one of the main causes of rapes are ignorant folks saying "boys will be boys" and such. If the alternative is ten times worse, nobody would dare to lay an unconsenting finger on anyone.
