I don't know, I dated a 44 year old woman who was pretty cute, but her facebook profile had a picture of her from 20 years ago. Back then she was in University and she looked kind of like Mandy Moore. I just never said nothing about it. LoL!
I guess she was still trying to get the attention that she used to or something, and online she never had to age.
Would you say such a person is insecure about themselves?
She was insecure in some ways, definitely about her body.
She had told me stories about when she was young and she had a weight problem. She hated how she looked, and she would take her family pictures down and hide them from her mom. So maybe she's repeating that behaviour in a way now that she's aging a bit. She's showing less of herself now, and trying to show herself when she felt the most confident.
The silly thing is that she's still pretty, and obviously all of her co-workers and friends know that she isn't 24 years old anymore.
For image reason and people lie about who they actually are on social media.
When I went to see a Chiropractor, who lied about her age, her picture on her website was when she was 25-years-old, and she is 50-years-old, why would she have a image issue? She is a professional. There is no reason for her to lie. Probably more people would go to her with an older picture because that would tell people she is experienced.
50 year old and 25 year old physically wise looks very different. She's not that pretty at 50 when she was 25.
This is true. The 25-year-old picture was of a young and pretty woman. The 50-year-old Chiropractor wasn't attractive at all. My take was that she posted that younger people to lure in clients that wanted someone fresh out of college who has fresh and new ideas. I thought this was deceitful.
But to post a younger picture so people think she is a young and beautiful woman is taking it to a different level. Even people on dating sites don't do this at that degree. It's hard to fathom that a professional can be so incredibly insecure about her looks. Does she think people won't notice when they meet her?

They probably put their best pictures up no matter what the age is Or their favorites
Would you consider such people as deceitful? I googled a Chiropractor in my area and she looked like 25-years-old in the pictures she posted on her website. That why I went to see her, probably right out of college with new ideas. When I went to see her an elderly woman treated me who had a vague resemblance to the picture. On the way out I asked the receptionist if that picture is her daughter. She said no. That's her 25-years-ago. It seems deceitful to me.
