Are kids committing crimes younger now or are we just better at catching them now?

There were a few bad apples when I was a kid but it was a tiny number compared to today. Parents have become too lazy and are basically raising wild animals. Coincidentally it's the same with pets. A lot of pets are more wild than they were when I was growing up. There's still some old school types who know how to properly raise animals & kids tho.

I think there are probably more older teenagers committing serious crimes now (as opposed to petty crimes like shoplifting and vandalism). I'm old enough to remember the case of James Bulger though, who was murdered by a pair of 10 year olds, back in '93.

There's a tendency to video yourself committing crimes and posting them online. That might be helping the clear-up rate.

the question is about adult crimes happening more often.

I'll tell you this. mentally ill people know they are mentally ill from a young age.
