If someone gets beaten or killed in prison for harming children is that poetic justice?

If someone harms or kills a child (or baby) and is then either beaten to death or injured by inmates, would you say that was poetic justice?
I just heard that a father that punched his baby daughter out of frustration and killed her got killed in prison. Same thing happens to child molesters and rapists.
