Do you think that forcing people to sacrifice their bodies, their organs, their health, and even their lives, against their will should be legalized? (Page 2)
If you consent to have sex then you consent to the possibility of pregnancy. Pregnancy is a natural consequence of letting a man ejaculate inside your vagina.
where does that statistic come from? Did you get that from an actual study or just make it up? I got pregnant after the morning after pill failed to work, its not as effective as you might believe... and you realize that the morning after pill is an abortive right? It forces a menstrual period where everything in your uterus is flushed out including an embryo. An abortion pill works similarly up to about 11 weeks gestation. 93% of medical abortions are performed during the first trimester, before 13 weeks.
@kudoma donating your bone marrow or even getting it tested is a choice as is any side effects related to it just like pregnancy is a side effect of having sexual intercourse
Nope, it's not a side effect. It's a risk, but not a "side effect"
Carelessly bringing life into the world results in people with opinions like yours who don't believe children are humans. They aren't pawns, numbers, or consequences. They deserve a family that wants and loves them.
Having sex doesn't mean you want kids, maybe it does for you but that's not the case for everyone. I have sex with my husband but we don't want kids for another 5 years. Consent to sex is not consent to raising a child.
People who wear seatbelts get in accidents too. In fact, most accidents involve people who use seatbelts. Just like most accidental pregnancies involve some sort of preventative measure.
Most people who get into accidents are wearing there seatbelts... but accidents are still accidents, and still happen even if preventative measures are taken.
No one is arguing that unprotected sex can result in a pregnancy, just like protected sex can result in a pregnancy. The idea is whether you are then forced to bring a human into the world. A human that will likely rely on social programs that people like you don't support. It will also force the mother into over 35,000 in medical debt, not to mention the costs of raising a child if you don't thrust the child into a broken foster care system that will end in the same cycle of poverty and reliance on social programs.
There are exceptions, but the people who will be most impacted by changes in the law are those who can't take time off work to go to another state for an abortion. Or those who already have 3 kids and can't afford another.
To remove access to abortion is inhumane and just puts everyone at risk.
Actually diabetes one and two are drastically different and is a medical problem that affects people on a global scale... so if you want to get into to let's, which type of diabetes are you referring to?
Comorbidity is only so high because of how many people in America are diabetic. Of course that's going to be a comorbidity.
Food legislation in America is worse than any other developed country so I'm really not sure where you're going with this. Preventive medical care in America is also garbage so I'm REALLY not sure what you're trying to say here.
Obesity isn't only about overeating. It's also about eating terrible foods (bad regulations ont he foods going in our bodies), genetics (out of the individuals control), lack of sufficient exercise/movement (also mostly out of an individual's control in the primary demographic affected by obesity: poor people).
But what does obesity have to do with bodily autonomy? We're diverging from the point here. Bodily autonomy guarantees the right to allow your body to be used only in ways you consent.
Okay I take it you don't really know anything about diabetes then... most motor vehicle collisions are a direct result of driving, but they aren't going to deny you medical care because it was your choice to drive...
Like abortions, most can be resolved with just a pill, or a series of pills. How ever, if allowed to progress far enough surgical intervention may be necessary.
I mean I understand your argument and honestly I don't know. Abortion should be legalized. I do however feel we should put more attention into having better medicine so that women don’t need to get abortions for health related reasons. Because by than their should be ways to reverse any of the negative affects pregnancy has.
I think if they are a terrible criminal then yes but at the same time I wouldn't like the idea of possibly having a pedo or murders organs in me but if I was really despite I'd try to see the good in it
No of course it shouldn't be forced, however if nobody agreed to donate, then many thousands of people who are living because of the sacrifice those people made would now be dead.

Do you think being overdramatic is really helping your argument? Or are you really this poorly educated? I knew the school system was bad; just not that bad.
Right, that I get that, but is it stemming from something else or drawing parallels from it? When I read the question I assumed you asked it because of the Roe v Wade taking the headlines.
I can't shoot at other cars on the grounds that they're causing an inconvenience to me, which is actually a bad comparison since traffic isn't something that I have to deal with exclusively by my own doing like getting pregnant is
That is a illegal, and this question is obviously with in the context of North America. How ever, if you want to talk about crimes against humanity in Central Africa and the Middle East, I suggest you ask your own question so that it stays on topic.
yes, but people are not allowed to legally harm their own bodies with their will because drugs are illegal,. we should only be allowed to harm them against their will, law makers are so smart
Yes to some extent, most of us don't know what's better for us and humanity once we are gone. To busy with our own agendas wants needs pricessing feelings sweeping and moping most of us misses great good or even what good for us in short period
Hell no. Just because governments would allow it, doesn't make it right. Same goes for war and slavery.

Here it's legal
I'm exempt because my body is like a real lemon of a motor, fit only for the clapper, I guess the human version would be being fed to some pigs or something

It’s pretty obvious you’re asking this question to bait people into a discussion on Roe vs Wade so you can give them shit over their views.

No. You can't even use organs from dead people to save someones life without the dead person's prior authorization.
Yes but then if your talking about abortion then it's generally a choice to get pregnant in the first place.
Are you familiar with consent?
If you consent to have sex then you consent to the possibility of pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a natural consequence of letting a man ejaculate inside your vagina.
and what if you didn't consent to letting him ejaculate inside of your vaginal canal? What if contraceptive fails?
Yet 99.99999% of abortions are due to failure to use contraception of some kind or the after morning pill.
where does that statistic come from? Did you get that from an actual study or just make it up?
I got pregnant after the morning after pill failed to work, its not as effective as you might believe... and you realize that the morning after pill is an abortive right? Uh huh. You don't have to lie to me to justify how you choose to live your life, I dont care and nobody else does.
That's like saying consent to have your bone marrow tested is consent to donate your marrow if it's a match.
I'm not lying... I guess the truth just doesn't fit your view of how you think things should be...
@kudoma donating your bone marrow or even getting it tested is a choice as is any side effects related to it just like pregnancy is a side effect of having sexual intercourse
Nope, it's not a side effect. It's a risk, but not a "side effect"

@kudoma Yes exactly, Its just like driving. Just because you drive a car doesn't mean you want to get into an accident. Its a risk, not a side effect.
It's more like if you drive your car and don't put on your seat belt
People who wear seatbelts get in accidents too. In fact, most accidents involve people who use seatbelts. Just like most accidental pregnancies involve some sort of preventative measure.
@kudoma yet they don't go flying out their windshield because they weren't being safe...
Most people who get into accidents are wearing there seatbelts... but accidents are still accidents, and still happen even if preventative measures are taken.

@kudoma Not to mention that pregnancy kills nearly 300,000 people every year.
Diabetes kills 1 million per year, who is responsible. The government or the people eating too much sugar?
Pregnancy and diabetes isn’t the same thing but if you wanna get into it are you referring to type one or type two diabetes
Diabetes another first world problem
Actually diabetes one and two are drastically different and is a medical problem that affects people on a global scale... so if you want to get into to let's, which type of diabetes are you referring to?
Yerp first world problems
Actually diabetes effects people globally... do you understand what that means? Or even the difference between type one and type two diabetes?
America had the highest covid deaths, 40% of covid deaths in America were due to diabetes
Comorbidity is only so high because of how many people in America are diabetic. Of course that's going to be a comorbidity.

@kudoma plus all the obesity. Eating to excess...
And the leading cause for death in the united states is heart disease... what is the point you are trying to make?
Both a direct result of choices in the majority of cases like unwanted pregnancy
Okay I take it you don't really know anything about diabetes then... most motor vehicle collisions are a direct result of driving, but they aren't going to deny you medical care because it was your choice to drive...
Most UTI's are direct result of sexual activity, should they be denied treatment because it was the direct result of the choice they made.
Is the treatment surgical?
Like abortions, most can be resolved with just a pill, or a series of pills. How ever, if allowed to progress far enough surgical intervention may be necessary.
I mean I understand your argument and honestly I don't know. Abortion should be legalized. I think if they are a terrible criminal then yes but at the same time I wouldn't like the idea of possibly having a pedo or murders organs in me but if I was really despite I'd try to see the good in it
No, making people take an experimental drug is wrong.
No of course it shouldn't be forced, however if nobody agreed to donate, then many thousands of people who are living because of the sacrifice those people made would now be dead.
Do you think being overdramatic is really helping your argument? Or are you really this poorly educated? I knew the school system was bad; just not that bad.
yea like im an atheist and not against all abortion but some of these women make me hate abortion purely because of how bad they are
No, I don't. Against their will (so, no freedom?). isn't freedom what the u. s. is built on. THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE
THE FREEDOM TO HARVEST OTHER PEOPLE'S ORGANS! YEA MURICA!!!
What is the reason and motivation for the question? I feel it is lacking some context here.
I'm just curious if people thing that it should be legal or not.
Right, that I get that, but is it stemming from something else or drawing parallels from it? When I read the question I assumed you asked it because of the Roe v Wade taking the headlines.
Exactly - she is in favor of abortion and is trying to make that point. She believes that giving birth kills people.
@msc545 pregnancy and birth related complications kill hundreds of thousands of people every year.
@msc545 How ever that is not the premise of this question.
No but the laws are made by men who who don't have any laws on what can and can't do with theirs
I can't shoot at other cars on the grounds that they're causing an inconvenience to me, which is actually a bad comparison since traffic isn't something that I have to deal with exclusively by my own doing like getting pregnant is
bullshit. roe v wade was decided by a panel of 9 men the firs ttime
law also says i can't rape or hit with my body
Those are called "soldiers," deary. It's what they get paid for.
She said against their will. Read.
@Agape93 You've never heard of child soldiers? Educate yourself
Those aren't soldiers. Soldiers are paid professionals. Otherwise you're a conscript, someone who is forced to fight.
HELL NO!!! It SHOULD either be up to you or your family/loved ones. Neither of the EXTREMES SHOULD be followed or enacted.
Yes to some extent, most of us don't know what's better for us and humanity once we are gone. To busy with our own agendas wants needs pricessing feelings sweeping and moping most of us misses great good or even what good for us in short period
Apparently bodily autonomy isn’t important to right wingers. So I’m a bit scared they’d be fine with that level of big government.
This from the party that wants to mandate that people be drugged against their will to work a goddamn job.
Fuck off with your bullshit.
@Agagagagaga No that’d be the employer who wants that. We’re saying being out in about in town, gotta be vaxxed. If not stay home.
So you believe in restricting freedom of movement and freedom to assemble. Nice.
Tell me again about how much you value democracy?
@Agagagagaga yes, like murderers, I believe society has the right to collectively say this person is a danger and should be isolated.
Then they should get their ovaries removed.
Give it a rest already.
So is that a yes or no?
If I say no will you let me go deep inside doggy style. I bet that thing be bussn like crazy from the back 🥵💦💦
Id rather hump a cactus
I have a big cactus, you think you can handle all of it 😜🌵💦
Its a yes or no question. So what do you think, yes or no?
Please protect the world and kill your offspring in the womb. You sound like it would be doing everyone a favor.
