In Switzerland you can now legally change your gender for about $76. Should the U. S. do the same? In Switzerland females are allowed to retire one year earlier than men, AND only men have to serve in the military.

The term "gender" actually relates to language, and nothing else. Quote:

Most people of course mean "sex" when they use the word. That being the case, you cannot - can NOT - change your gender (or sex). I can't change who I am any more than I can become a giraffe. Biological truths exist, and there's no way to get around them.
As for the question, yes, why not? After all, everyone seems to be doing it now to suit their own agenda/purposes, so why not just go for it?
Ah heck, maybe I'll do it too. I hereby "identify" as male. :D

What an intriguing notion. I suppose it would work for a while but if it happened continuously we would tilt the nations Femal to male ratio. Would be a nation of mostly "women". So it will catch up to us and eventually all genders will be called in for military, everyone will have to pay high insurance rates and everyone will have issues with HR. I truly wonder what full blown hard core feminist would think? Would they complain when companies are hiring many masculine looking "females" would they be happy if both men and women are now required to be registered in case of a drafted? 🤦 im sorry I want to be sympathetic respectful to all but I just dont agree with what is happening to females athletes with female DNA having to compete with medically altered females whos bodies are larger because they carry male DNA. I work in a school system and now we are being told within the next few years we have to be all retrained because we will no longer be allowed to use or theach the she he him her pronouns. It will be they/ them unless the child clearly states they prefer a masculine or feminine pronoun.

@meetkitty123 I agree this kind of thing could catch up to us, I've heard that even in my setting the hospital/healthcare there will be questionaires that ask patients for their pronouns. Most of my elderly patients will be very confused if I were to do this and trying to explain it to them for me would just be 🤦‍♀️ even now we're supposed to ask them if there sexual partners are male or female or both.

A national commission on military, national, and public service was created in 2017 to evaluate that very thing. I. March of 2020 they recommended women be included - by the way panel was 7 democrats and 4 republicans, vote was 7-4 (guess who voted no- can't keep you voting for them if they can't keep you mad). There was also a court case in 2019 that ruled an all male draft was unconstitutional, but that was moot after the commission was established.

It's impossible for anyone to change their sex/gender. You can fool people by physically mutilating your body, and PRETENDING to be the opposite sex, but you will NEVER fool God. So OF COURSE you should never attempt to do such a wrongful thing for ANY reason
