What do you agree and disagree about feminism (not feminists)?

Feminism, not feminists? Isn't that kind of like asking what someone thinks of the republican party, but not republicans? :)

I agree with the principles of the original feminist movement, which stood for gender equality. But today's feminist movement literally bears zero resemblance to the original movement.

Modern feminism seeks to advance women's interests while tearing down men at every opportunity. What does it say when one of the most wildly popular books among feminists in recent years is titled "I Hate Men", and it has 500+ ratings on Amazon with an average of 4.5 stars.

Modern feminists play an interestingly dishonest game. There's no question that the face of the feminist movement today are divisive, anti-male women. But instead of feminism taking any responsibility for all the garbage feminists are doing, or even trying to discourage it, they just say things like "that's not real feminism" or "she's not a real feminist" or "it's just satire", thereby relieving "feminism" of any responsibility for all the feminist shit we see everywhere. The truth is they're right, but what they don't say is that what that means, which is that modern feminism is not real feminism. Meanwhile, feminism has an overwhelming image problem that they are doing nothing about while the respect people have for the movement continues to go down the toilet.

As for what I agree with about feminism? I'll answer with respect to modern feminism, which of course is the only thing that matters today. Nothing.

I agree with feminism in a sense that there are a lot of bitter men out there who look to do women harm out of spite. Among other things, it can be hard to be alone as a woman. I disagree with the feminists who look to label all men as perpetrators of domestic violence because that couldn’t be further from the truth…

I don't really think feminism today is what it was when the movement first started, the term has basically become synonomous with misandry which I can't agree with, so I don't pay them much mind anymore.

Disagree:
- The anti-male agenda of mainstream modern feminism.
- The dishonesty. Modern feminists essentially are looking at men sticking their tongues out with their middle fingers in the air, and when people ask them why they are flipping men the bird they say "what are you talking about, no I'm not". They write books titled "I Hate Men" with volumes of information about why it's okay to hate men, and then claim feminists don't hate men. They write articles about the deep philosophical underpinnings of the extremely popular phrase "men are trash" and then out of the other sides of their mouths they say "feminism is nothing more that equality" I could go on and on about the dishonesty of modern feminism.
- The us-versus-them approach they take to everything. They pit women and men against each other and then complain about men not being their allies. Huh?
- The ubiquitous "women as victims and men as evil perpetrators" trope.

Is there really anything to agree with about feminism now? I mean a long time ago feminists fought for important things that I definitely benefit from today. But today's feminism isn't helping me. It's just making me as a woman look bad.
