Can people with such different political worldviews have a successful romantic relationship?

Let's say a woman is pro-BLM, LGBTQ, lists her pronouns, etc.. and I think all of that is ridiculously stupid. But we get along otherwise...

No. I dated a big old Lefty once and we lived together. Worst relationship I’ve ever had. I was constantly on egg shells around her and she’d routinely try to shame me for my political views and behavior.

Oh no I used “pussy” as an insult, I’m a terrible sexist who hates women. Obviously.

Oh boy, I believe in immigration control and limits and that people should immigrate legally. I’m a terrible person.

You’re going to put up with getting looked at like you’re the biggest asshole on the planet if you don’t go along with their Leftist world view. And if there is tension between you, there won’t be intimacy, and if there is no intimacy, there is no sex.

So what’s the point?

Much of the conservative worldview is imaginary these days, whereas much of the liberal worldview is exaggerated. When a liberal and conservative try to live together ad they turn off their news sources they usually find that none of it has anything to do with their immediate surroundings. Stand up to bullies that you see. That's all it takes to be a decent person. The rest is just division because the rich can't control us without it.

It depends how strong those views are held. Most people will argue with their partner about something in their lives. They have to ask themselves though. What is more important, their views or their love for each other?
