I do wonder why Hunter Biden hasn't been brought up on charges, or Hillary, how Trump stayed impeached for so long with so little evidence, as that's not how court works. If you can prove a shadow of a doubt, you're innocent, it's not your job to prove "innocence".

If that's how courts will operate in the future the justice system will collapse. There are far too few cops, or even military for that matter if people simply stop obeying laws en masse.

@jackinoff You could have a biased cop arrest you based on skin color, or to make numbers regardless of race, the judge and DA have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt you're guilty however. I've been arrested for DUI when I had a seizure, no drugs, no alcohol in my system, and it took 2 years in court to beat the charge because the Parish wanted a 99% conviction rate. It took another 3 months to get the court to release my official not guilty verdict. Is that my white privelege?

12% of the US is black, and has the highest crime rate, with about 1/4 of the criminals compared to white criminals if you wan to go there. That's only possible if the sentencing is lighter to allow for repeat criminals in the same year as black people do not represent 1/4 of the population, and most certainly not all black people are criminals.

The raw numbers are presented in such a way to show that there is systemic discrimination, but rather show that it swings the other way. Even if you have a terrible lawyer, the judge can't convict you on the grounds of race, there has to be evidence, even witness testimony is not generally enough. One of my friends almost got away with aggravated burglary and attempted murder with the home owner recognizing him and being stabbed several times, his fingerprints being in the house, and AFIS already from previous arrests got him. Arrests aren't convictions, and there has to be evidence to be convicted, no matter how doggedly the DA or judge drag out the trial or try to not give discovery or produce their evidence.

Doesn't matter if you're black, white, or green, that's how our system works. Though who is being arrested or charged can be selective (like the "peaceful protestors" vs. the capital insurrection), what happens through the court system is, well, systematic.

Often people are criminalized based of the color of their skin. That's unfortunate. But you also have people who are innocent but thanks to the media are made out to be criminals, or racist, or whatever. And then you have people who have done bad things that kinda just fade away. But this white privilege thing and cops are racist thing is thanks mainly to what the media feeds us as "news" granted I'm sure there are plenty of racist, jackass cops of all backgrounds
