I'm a die hard believer of the jury of peers system. So I'm stating my biases clearly here.

Over policing is a thing and we have a fundamental right to a jury of peers to counter balance that. So how the common person sees the police and police enforcement is unjustified it would be the duty of a jury of peers to make it just.

I'm not saying they are overdoing it and potential putting themselves in danger from this individual but they are a peer of the defense and it is there prerogative to do so. Ultimately the state government is more powerful then everyday people.

If we had a mutual relationship with our government. One that couldn't have rascal prejudice and rascal agendas we could have better safer communitys.

I have no issue with the police in most places, they make the arrests. But it's not the police that give certain criminals a free pass back to the streets. What's pissing me off, also pisses those guys that have to arrest the same guy like 35 time over and over.

I'll put it like this with a scenario. We both steal twinkies. You're white so they lock you up. I'm black so they let me out the first night. I steal more twinkies. They arrest me and let me back out again. This just keep happening over and over. I get arrested about 45 time for stealing twinkies.

Fundamentally the jury of peers is where rubber meets the road for the law.

So the more the common peer or general population thinks the larger state government is out to prosecute minorities the higher burden of proof the state needs to prosecute a minority.

Most of these cases never even go to trial. I get what you're saying and it's an interesting theory and all, but the truth is most of them just take a very favorable plea deal given to them by very liberal judges or they'll get off because the district just refuses to press charges at all.

At the end of the day a jury of peers determines what is fact. If the people don't respect the government they don't respect prosecution. At the same time a jury of peers have to live with and cohabitat with a potentially dangerous person.

Activist judges, many of whom don’t even have law degrees, are doing their part to make criminals feel less oppressed. I’d be okay with keeping the dirtbags out of jail if the judges who let them off were required to house them and support them in every way.
