What is different in Germany and the USA and is better in the USA? And what is worse in the USA?

Keep in mind that I've only spent significant time in what was formerly West Germany, and there's a very noticeable cultural difference between the former bloc/east and west. The latter, especially the Bavaria region is far more "westernized."

The most glaringly obvious difference within spending a few minutes in both countries is that life in the US is generally much faster-paced and more stress-inducing, often needlessly so but the competitive culture promotes celebrity idolatry. The Germans are generally friendly, but also much more blunt/honest about their opinions instead of trying to be overly friendly or give false compliments. You will also pretty regularly see the German police patrolling in full kit with rifles or submachine guns, which you will almost never see in the United States unless something big is happening. News media in Germany is pretty blatantly government propaganda, while the news in the US is more typically party or interest group-driven propaganda, none can be fully accepted at face value. The US is more welcoming towards immigrants, especially those on the path to citizenship, which is relatively difficult to do in Germany. That's more of a government thing than the people themselves; neither usually care one way or another until it starts to directly affect them.

There's a lot of similarities too, most notably the huge cultural disconnect between cities and rural towns. Downtown Munich is radically different from the riverside towns and medieval-era cobblestone towns to the point they seem like completely different countries, which is also normal in the US regarding major population centers and suburbs/small towns, and that trend is very prominent in all 50 states. Both countries have a pretty significant amount of national pride, but they exercise it as well as their holidays very differently: for the US, national holidays commemorate various major historical events, while in Germany the major festivals celebrate cultural aspects, such as foods, music, and alcohol. On the mutually negative side of things, both countries are going through pretty noticeable cultural decline at the hands of globalists, but a major difference is that the Germans who oppose it are more prone to leaving Germany and moving elsewhere (Paraguay or Poland usually), while in the US it has resulted in internal blowback and division.

I like how in Deutschland when I went into a record store chain they classified all music that happens to be produced by black musicians and singers as “black music.” I was expecting to see genres like “jazz” or “reggae” or “R&B.” Nope. “Black music.” 😂

What’s worse? Well it’s hard to find a good sauerbraten. The traffic and roads absolutely suck in America, though I’ve seen far worse in Central America. I’ll give you Deutschlanders something, you know how to build roads and move traffic around very efficiently. Wonderful engineers. Top notch 👍🏻

Overall I miss Deutschland. I lived there for about 2 years. Wonderful country.
