If a black student refuses to let a white teacher teach African American history is that racism too?

In one of the Vid Chronicles episodes, a student that failed his African American History final exam because he was rude and refused to be taught by a white teacher. He kept saying that he can't teach his own history and only wanted a black teacher. So the teacher decides to immediately fail him.

Then he expected the teacher to pass him because of all the struggles they went through in the past long ago (basically pass him without studying nor learning... pass him for doing nothing). Isn't that racism too?

If a student refuses to learn just because the teacher isn't the assigned race and is rude to that teacher... I think that's racism too

It's not racist. That's not what racist means. Though I do not agree with his actions or what he did. I do see why he'd get mad and I understand why people react that way. But if the teacher is well-qualified, there shouldn't be a problem.

Least he gets a reality check. Teachers teach out of text books any how. If the kid was smart he could have taught himself, obviously not

And people should stop calling them "African Americans." Just call them Americans and teach history.
