I don't know which alternative universe you live in, but we do have racism and violence here in Canada. It's just more pronounced in the USA than here because there are 10x more people there than here.

They have violence... so do we. Guns are more restricted here and harder to get compared to the US, but criminals always find another way to callously snuff out lives. Namely knife violence. I was in a smaller city in Ontario a few years back to visit relatives, and there was a stabbing outside the Holiday Inn I was staying at. Right on the sidewalk, within sight of the main entrance.

And as far as racism in Canada goes, go ask a member of the First Nations community how they feel about how Canada treats it's indigenous population.
