I don't know if this next one fits your criteria, but: "Cash for clunkers."

For those that don't know about it, Obama came up with this brilliant idea. In order to get clunkers off the streets, Obama would let you give it to the dealer and then help pay for your new car. It was like a few thousand bucks. The clunkers had to be destroyed. This meant that there weren't a lot of clunkers for sale for poor people who needed one to get to work. The poor got screwed and so did the tax payers. So your neighbor has a nice new car in the driveway, and you helped pay for it. Oh, and the program only costed $24,000 per clunker.

Yes, I was working on my masters degree and I did a report on Cash For Clunkers and what a typical Obama disaster it was. The professor was a real liberal and did not appreciate it.
All it did was drive up the price of used cars.

I talked to a professor that was a conservative. He said he was the black sheep of the campus. All the liberals would attack him like a pack of hyenas, because he was a hunter. While in pack mode, they scolded him. But when it was one on one, they begged him for some of his famous elk sausage.

I watched a YouTube video that was an old news clip. The story was about Tata Motor company. (India)
They produced the cheapest car on Earth.

The Nano sold for $3,400. So on the news clip, this was the conversation:

News woman: Do you think Americans would buy them?
News man: No way. Americans would never buy a car under $20,000. (that clip was at least 15 years old, so adjust for inflation) What a pair of idiots.

Now, some could argue that the Nano might not meet up to our safety standards, but I don't think motorcycles are crash tested, either.

Obama could buy 7 Nanos for what ONE clunker cost the tax payers.

I like the infrastructure spending. Though it is bipartisan, little to none of that money will make it into infrastructure. I had a job before, QA/QC supervisor. So much money got dumped into Louisiana after Katrina that we basically just went around getting paid a lot of money to make sure it wasn't getting grossly lost between the cracks. Like if a crew says they're doing recovery work here, check if people are working there, then do the same in another area.

Later working at water plants I got to see some of the bigger picture when we were still in a federal consent decree 2 decades after Katrina and losing hundreds of millions in that sweet sweet federal funding every year.

Between that, and Build Back Better we're going to see some young people working federal jobs/contracts in very nice cars, but little else.

The majority of people do not believe native people deserve more rights and privileges than non native people, they believe CITIZENS should have rights and privileges under the law not ILLEGAL immigrants.
