Why are people surprised that most women support Johnny Depp because they see him as the victim?

Because lets be honest, men aren't supposed to be victims... that is the social stereotype that had been placed upon men. Men victimize women, but women don't or can't victimize men. When a man claims to be a victim we all think he is weak and pitiful, but when a women does it we are supposed to feel sorry for her and get all woke.

Which I hate watching these victims sometimes, because they take no responsibility for themselves. They put all the blame on their presumed oppressor and take no responsibility for their own actions and contributions to the toxicity of the relationship, or down right stupidity of their choices. I think most women, who I still believe that most women are not crazy looney toons, but most women totally see and know what other women have done or do to guys and on some level understand it. But like we see with women victims, we do not see anyone coming out in defense of men in general.

But that is why we are all watching this case, because Jonny Boy has the money to actually put up a fight and make this stand for men like me. I mean he will probably lose the actual case... but he is fighting back and I love that. Something has to be done to make it harder for people in general to make up what ever they want or believe in what ever they choose to believe when comes to facts then weaponizing their hearsay in a way to being undue stress or damage upon an individual without explicit prove.

I mean this was very much the case for a while.

Now most of the post I see from women on my feed are "We know Johnny had a couple abusive tendencies, so we need to acknowledge that he is THE abuser" followed by something excusing Amber's behaviors because apparently women only do things under the influence of men, and apparently that's considered a "feminist" stance to take, which absolutely baffles me.

Kinda lines up with the weird idea that things declared "women's issues" are only experienced by women, and things mostly men experience are just "people's issues" since men "can't have issues of their own".

I thought things were getting better thanks to the Johnny Depp stuff and the Brendan Frasier stuff prior to this. It had me hopeful for a while. That women or gender rights groups would actually have my back should I experience another gender-targeted issue in the future.

But alas, it's more important to make sure we see male victims primarily as "uncaught abusers." Or do whatever either/or dance we need to do to keep it a competition and not rock the narrative. Narrative over truth and whatnot.

So yeah, it's a pleasant surprise when girls actually root for the guy in cases like this. Makes me feel like nuance isn't dead.

Johnny Depp is a household name. They are both messed up. Despite Vanessa and Kate coming out fornhim, there have always been rumours about Johnny. I loved him back in the day. He is a VERY disturbed individual. Amber Heard -- I've never liked her. She is also very disturbed. Thank God they didn't kill each other. At the end of the day, the case comes down to whether she was a survivor of sexual violence or whatever she said in the article.

These were unproven claims at the time and Depp had every right to take her to court. Now we will see the verdict. Regardless of who is more popular, I hope they come to the correct one and that justice is served.

They didn't at first. He started getting canceled based on her word. Now the truth has come out in evidence, audio recordings, and witnesses.

I've paid close attention to this trial and in no way is Johnny an angel. I can image his drug use and alcoholism was hard to live with. But Amber in my eyes was the main aggressor. Her testimony is unbelievable because she lies and talks circles over things she doesn't have too. She takes no responsibility and makes horrible claims damaging his reputation. His claims are backed with audio.

I really hope she's getting help because I'm afraid for her baby.

Because usually there's a wave in support of the female Because she's a female. Amber heard in an audio even thought she'd have overwhelming support. Told Johnny to tell the judge Johnny a man was abused by her a woman.

Suggested no one would believe him. Good thing he has so much audio evidence against her. Because without it this would be much much much harder.

Overwhelming evidence on his side and accounts from 3rd parties. Kate Moss will be showing up to testify on his behalf tomorrow all because Heard brought up some alleged staircase incident from Johnny's past. So now this is an opportunity to squash that narrative aswell.

Because of the prejudgement that we have , of course. There is such a thing that man cannot be the victim no matter what happens. Cuz he is a MAN. But to be honest , almost all of the situations like this , as a man , I think and am sure of that the men are the guilty ones. We conclude that by observing the environment , following the news , witnessing those kind of bad things etc. almost always the women are the victims. But in Johnny Deep's case I do not think he is guilty but we could not know the exact things completely. Hope the real things will be show up asap and the guilty person to be punished.

And whilst most women seem to have a community of constantly supporting/loving each other, men just can't wait to compete and beat/tear each other down, especially to defend women.

I legitimately think it's just cause women are pretty and seem innocent and lovely.

Everyone likes pretty stuff, even though women are typically attracted to men, and they aren't really pretty, but more powerful and strong and like rough/grizzled.

I mean, for example cats aren't exactly masculine, rought/grizzled but women still like to hug and snuggle with them, they are attracted to those soft cutesy features, even though that's what men are meant to be attracted to.

Women are just pretty much universally attractive, and people are pretty shallow, a lot of women never really talk about or give their political opinions either, which makes everyone thing they are just innocent airheads that need to be protected, but they are really just less loud.

But my reasons for believing this might be very different from others.

I would be very surprised if the parties were say, Danny Devito and Reah Perlman.

Humans are more likely to believe people they are attracted to. Humans are more likely to ascribe better motives to people they are attracted to.

I doubt it's a coincidence that when I look at footage of the trial, the gallery is full of women who are about the age to have at one point decorated their childhood bedrooms with Johnny Depp posters. I doubt it's a coincidence that time and again the people posting these videos and commenting on them are of the same demographic.

Because women generally only support things that have their self-interest in mind and supporting Johnny Depp makes them more vulnerable or puts them in a compromised position they next time they might want to use their gender to their advantage in anything.

Not trying to sound quote "sexist!" here, but it's 100% true. Most women only want equality when it supports them, and chivalry and damselhood when it doesn't. That's why even women who earn more money than their man still want men to pay for them on dates or men to be bigger/taller than them and what not.

I support johnny. Amber shows signs of BPD as well as NPD.. The experience i have with this... My own mother has both.

Now as to why women support her? Because most women do not care about anything that doesn't effect them. If they support johnny they have to support the understanding that men can be victims as well.. Where the vast majority of DV resources are focused specifically on women (99%), it would be a bitter pill for them to swallow, to allow male victims have access to those resources.

There will always be people who won’t, or question the validity of abuse claims, but it won’t get better if no one ever does anything about it. Depp is a lucky man to already have such a large female fan base prior to this case.
