Do you own guns in case the government gets too big for its britches?

Yes.
Why?
Why are we talking about guns?
Is that really all people are taking away from that tragedy/crime in Texas?
Guns?
Everything for the simple is just dwindled down to guns?
A gun was the weapon the evil psycho used. They couldn't care less that the country is just replete these days with humans who now just want to kill as many complete strangers as they can and then die themselves... they are just focused on a gun.
Ok, a rational person will try and correct any errors or wrongs they think may have occurred. Did the screening process work correctly? I don't know.
Where there legit facts that should have blocked his ability to buy the gun? I don't know. If the regulations weren't followed and he should have been blocked then that should definitely be corrected.
Why was the school unlocked and the classroom this occurred in unlocked? They were supposed to be locked.
Should the age to buy a gun be changed from 18 to 21? Perhaps. Maybe that can be looked into and changed. We'll see.
Outside of that... why are we talking about guns? Millions of them exist. Millions own them. They can't be stopped. You can't stop someone who badly wants a gun from getting one. Even if there is something illegal about it... they'll just get them illegally. Millions of criminals have illegal guns.
So what is the real noise here about "guns"? Do people really think there is some new, magic law that will be passed and suddenly no one will have guns. Killers will be dying to kill someone but they won't be able to get a gun anywhere. No black market gun dealer will sell them one because there is some law?
Everyone is heart broken, sad, angry over what happened. People are kind of barking up the wrong tree if all they walk away thinking is "guns".
As if all the guns in the world will suddenly go away and no one will be able to get a gun.
I own 20 guns, three of them are air 15th. I will die if the government comes to take that because I have literally done nothing wrong. If you want to accuse me of shooting rabbits and squirrels I’m guilty humans no. And the rest are between muzzleloader 50 caliber bolt action 22s 20 and 12 gauge shotguns. Why should I lose my right to bear arms when you have a bunch of morons killing people for absolutely no reason we’re talking.001% of the population. One of my shotguns is a 12 gauge semi automatic that is in the air 15 style and I can literally shoot 20 rounds out of it.
I am taken aback at your obsession with guns. I have obsessions with camera lenses, so I’m trying to relate. But you guys really aren't the problem.
The real gun issues are street crimes, suicides and mass shootings by late teen to early 20s boys. And they usually dont have a well organized arsenal.
Its kinda like the old nuke adage: I’m not afraid of the country that has 500 nukes, just the guy who wants one.
I inherited half on my guns from my grandpa, Mostly I buy old fashioned guns like my 3 .50cal pistols and 2 .50 cal they only have 1 shot in them. My.270 .22 2 shot guns 1 Ar-15 and my ak-47 I bought my self. Got 2 Ar-15s and 1 am-47 were inherited and the rest are hand guns (1 doesn’t work because it’s from 1897 I Iver Johnson colt.45). Guns have been in my family for years.
Suicide is the number 1 cause of death by guns in the United States, Your not going to do much about suicides even if we didn’t have guns people are going to find a way to off themselves if they really wanted to. Most guns used in street crime are illegally gotten so there not much you can do in those situations except fund police and have them preform stop and frisk measures which democratic don’t like. Mass shooting rarely occurs in everyday life it’s more common now because of multiple factors a big one is cyber bullying and social media. Even on this website I could hypothetically target someone and bully them to the point of wanting to either kill themselves or harm others. People ask why was it safer in the 1980s when it came to mass shooting then it is now. The thing is they didn’t have social media back in the 1980s and you got to know your community better then nowadays the internet can radicalized people better than any mechanism in the past. Especially since it allows echo chambers to be created which certain ideologies like white supremacy black supremacy Nazism Marxism and causes people to go off the deep end.
Guns don't create suicidal ideation. They only enable the action.
Why are Westerners so suicidal? I thought their society was superior and developed lol.
@OldWorldOrder guns don’t cause suicidal ideation. There are many factors.
The break down in societal norms are causing the suicide rate to go up. This of course has been promulgated by social media like Facebook’s and Twitter. A example of these is Moses Ingram. People don’t particularly like her character in The show Obi-Wan Kenobi. (She does play a villain so the character isn’t likable like most antagonist). Before say 90s really 20s (before 2004 when Facebook came out) you won’t be able to message the actor and start berating them about how they don’t like the character. So now a few Dick weasels decided to go online and harass her. If these was before 2004 people would say to there friends and family I don’t think this is a good character but won’t have an opportunity to directly contact the actress and insult her. The same can be said for your little guy average user with bullying online and harassment. So with the advent of social media like Facebook Twitter instagram it make harassment easier and already valuable people take these dick wads seriously and end up killing themselves. This is just one example
I’m running out of room here but you also have adults scaring kids with climate change with we can deal with, but we strike fear into kids because of it, We scare them with guns and school shootings when you rarely saw this until the advent of social media. There been many studies that social media is actually bad for the mental health of teenage girls. People were committing suicide before but social media has brought many many things that were rare events to more common event because of groupthink which they get in chat rooms online bullying and harassment and photoshopped instagram making beauty standards so high that most women can’t keep up because women don’t look like they do in photoshop as they do in real life. Social media is largely to blame for the breakdown of happiness fulfillment which is causing he suicides and disparate we’re seeing in the west right now.
@schittywok Frequency does not normalize a thing, or make it less of a fetish. Hae a look at my other question here and check out what guys said about guns vs. children:
What if you had this choice - what would you choose? ↗
Then the other thing, which I cannot emphasize enough. Is. The world is a place, where experiments are plaid out ad infinitum. Rapes/murders, etc. Are not reduced. Just mass shootings. So, do you want the soft cock in hand? I mean, what our my chances of being electrocuted by lightening? Rare. So you want to live in a world where you limp wrist it? Ejaculate like it's flinging cum at Clarice Starling, or are you packing heat?

I recently bought shotgun and a handgun. I went to training for the handgun last week and tomorrow I am taking a tactical shotgun course.
Relax. Shotguns are poor offensive tools.
That's why you're supposed to own self-loading rifles. :)
Holy shit lmao. That is some bad advice, especially from a cop. My condolences.
@OldWorldOrder I don;t know. I have been firing the handgun and it is a pretty effective weapon. It was not too difficult to fire and it is not oversized. I am going to shotgun training tomorrow. I think that a shotgun was also a good choice. There is something about staring down the barrel of a shotgun that really gives you pause.
Right. And all you have to do is rack the action and the meth-addled psychopath in your living room at 3 AM will turn into a little kitten and scamper on out of your house lmao 😂
Oh, fudds.
“gets too big for its britches.”
Can you explain more what you mean specifically?
Ahh, yes, that was a quote from a right wing governor who got heat after saying it a day after Buffalo.

This means that some people persist in believing that a group of untrained people can defeat the government if it makes them unhappy if they only have enough clunky small arms.
A bunch of goat fuckers in Afghanistan with AK-47s and improvised explosives did pretty well for themselves in the long run. So did the Viet Cong.
Now go fuck yourself for persisting in your idiotic belief that a guerilla war doesn’t work.
The military voted 2/3 for Trump. 🤷♂️
Even if that was the other way around, 30% of the military plus all the vets like me & other volunteers are more than enough to achieve regional secession.
Allahu Akbar. 👳♂️☝️
Lol
America's strategic nukes are almost entirely in rural heartland territory. Lightly guarded at best. Even if they couldn't be re-programmed and launched at the American coasts, their warheads could be removed, rigged to a time or command fuze, and trucked into a major city easily.
Or, one could be launched at China, inviting a nuclear response from them & Russia. No more USA. Allahu akhbar. 😎
Who do I shoot? Easy.
Any armed person not wearing a Russian or Chinese uniform, or flying the appropriate flags. :)
No. That’s what the cyanide capsule is for.
I'll get a gun if things look bad enough but for now I know too many people who would love to get my gun while I'm asleep and turn it on themselves..
I have guns in the hope I never use them but will be there in case I must.
Threats to my safety foreign and domestic.
If they start confronting me when I'm minding my own business then yes.
No, but I want to.
Own guns; it would depend on which government the agents belong to. Being an assassin for my country would be a good career choice for me.
See it a guard times
