Self protection isn't the only reason for owning guns. It's not like you shouldn't be allowed to own them just because you have never needed to defend yourself.

I've owned guns since I was 16. I have never had to use one for self defense and doubt if I ever will.
I like plinking and target shooting. I'm really good at trap shooting. I've done some hunting.

When it comes to self defense, guns are like fire extinguishers. You hope you never have to use one, but you have them just in case.

Nobody has to own a gun if they don't want to. But people who want to strip others of the right to own them are ignorant bottom feeders who don't deserve to live in a free society.

I believe it’s better to be safe than sorry , I have a few guns that I have for protection , that I have hidden around my home , especially if someone tries to break into my home while I am sleeping , I have a 40 cal by my bedside that they are going to wish they didn’t come into my home. In my State it’s legal to kill someone breaking into your home , so one shot is all it will take to drop their ass. And they better hope it doesn’t kill them , because it’s a round that will put a huge hole into them , so they will be lucky if they survive it. One of my son’s friends came into my home when my son wasn’t here and he was in my kitchen looking for beer in my fridge in the middle of the night , i drew my gun on his ass and said WTF You doing real loud to him , I was so pissed off that he had the balls just to walk into my home in the middle of the night. He apologized like crazy and I told him to never do shit like that again because I was going to shoot his ass.

Yes, the police have been defunded and there has been a rise in crime even in my neighborhood which has always been a very safe place to live. A couple of years ago I bought a handgun and shotgun. I did this for protection but also just in case the Democrats repeal the second amendment.
I am angry about this.
