How do you MAINTAIN your MOTOR VEHICLE?

Motor vehicles require regular maintenance, from oil changes to tires to replacement parts.

There are many ways to maintain a vehicle. How do you maintain yours? And let us know if you've had good or bad experiences.

This question primarily refers to traditional combustion engine (CE) vehicles, but if you have an electric or hybrid vehicle, feel free to describe that too.

I voted B. I would prefer the dealer to maintain my vehicle.

Its still fairly new, it's a 2021 model so it doesn't need much maintenance right now.

For things like getting plugs in the tires because of nails we just take it to a mechanic and for simpler things like oil change or rotating tires, my man handles that.

Local mechanic for most stuff, I don't trust dealerships theyll rip you off. Little things like change light bulbs and top up oil we do ourselves.

As an engineer I did the regular maintenance myself, oil changes, air/oil filter changes, CV joints & boots, used independent local mechanic I trust for things like head gaskets, timing belts clutches, and local reputable shops for exhausts and tyres. main dealers are just too expensive.

I do or did- as much as possible myself. But when I need special equipment/tools, I'll delegate.
In our village there's a ''poor'' mechanic - a one-man-business; a man with a good heart and skills.
I give him some jobs whenever it makes sense.

I would get them serviced for free... at least four times a year, and it is free because of a close friend, and also some childhood friends that are in the business, luckily

My honey does most of the basic, Oil change, tires, batteries.. etc… Anything that requires a professional mechanic … we take it to the shop.

I usually do my own oil changes and other stuff but I had surgery last year so I had it done at the dealer. I had a coupon for 25$ off.

I do what I can, which admittedly isn't much. I can change the oil and that's about it.

I do a lot of it myself.
Things that are covered by a warranty go to the dealer to be repaired.

@exitseven My father taught me how to change tires when I was learning to drive.
