Not at all. Why? Because there was no "insurrection", there was no "threat to America", and we were not about to "lose our democracy and our way of life".

A protest (an actual protest) had some areas that turned into a riot. Police officers stood by and watched and in some cases even filed people into the Capitol Building, inside of which, many people were standing around chatting as if it were a house party (there is actual video of all of this). A couple of hours later, they were all cleared out, the ballots were counted, the election was certified, and Donald Trump left office two weeks after.

The riot was stupid, ugly, and it shouldn't have happened. But all this stuff about January 6th being the greatest threat America has ever faced is a bunch of pseudo-patriotic nonsense.

There is a massive difference though, the Jan 6th insurrection followed an orchestrated plan, involving White House counsels, lawyers, fake electors, even the wife of a Supreme Court judge. It rattled on the very foundation of American democracy!
BLM riots are at worst some locally organized idiots doing damage to buildings and cars. The democrats do not deny this, they rather seem to be unclear about the proper response.

It's more important for people to be educated about the threat that a dishonest press poses to a democracy. Jan 6 is a culmination of thousands of events being dishonestly portrayed by the media over the course of 5-6 years. Jan 6th by itself wasn't even that big of a deal (especially compared to the attacks on the White House).

1) Jan 6th was 100% justified because the election was quite obviously rigged.

Good question. As an impartial European I feel like Americans should value their democracy more than it seems like they do. It might not be perfect but it's all you have left. Do you really think your Fuhrer will care if you can't afford to put gas in your car? No, because he doesn't need your votes, he will elect himself by decree. I don't remember all the details but there was a George Floyd riot in DC that night and they threw bricks, fireworks and a bunch of other dangerous stuff at the White house. Bad enough that Trump was escorted to a bunker.
