Wage slavery describes a person's dependence on wages or a salary for their livelihood, especially when wages are low, conditions are poor, and there are few realistic chances of upward mobility.

I'm a day trader and I work for myself. I also make money with a YouTube channel and mobile apps. I have only had a "real job" for 3 months and decided that was horrible and I never want to do it again.

Burger king, Starbucks, Walmart and other places can hire wage slaves too, not just McDonalds. AKA wagecucks. Those poor souls.
