Women who smile more, coincides with what makes women so attractive to men.

It brings out their femininity, joviality, etc.

For men, masculinity is not POPULARLY known as smiles and cupcakes.

For men, sharp features, less expressive face, etc.

Brings out some mystery and masculinity.

Honestly I find this fact pretty sad on the part of men, and I hope it's BS.

Like "women are more attractive when they are healthy both mentally and physically" but "men are more attractive if they are broken, unhappy, twisted, uncooprative, and unstable. If you're happy and expressive, you aren't a real man."

Makes me curious about more of the details. I know looking "proud" was one of the attractive things. But I don't see how it makes me look so much better doing some douche pose by a car than a picture of me laughing with my nephew. There was this guy I was batshit scared of because he had a grumpy face and a loud voice, like I was genuinely scared of him. After ages of seeing that, I saw him smile one time and I felt way less scared and I thought he was actually cute. So a smile made a big difference.

Your idea of masculinity is more image than substance, but if that’s what you want to think I’m ok with that. A human smiling is far more appealing than one who is not.
