this needs investigated top to bottom and who made what decisions.

yes he’s the most publicly person visible to blame and does rightly need to be held accountable.

however there are people directly above and above them, there are those below him.

there is the Intel route and who made what decisions or did not make decision.

yes take him outside and double tap him, however that just paints over the problem.

I agree with both @NathanDavis and @embracethepain on this, it’s not always just the one person, even though they admit they are at fault, lift a few stones to find the others who need to be also held to account, it may even be the entire system is flawed.

No, it’s not as simple as that.
It’s natural to want to simplify more complicated things into bits where one can understand or make sense of something better.
For example, blaming a police chief for what his/her officers did or didn’t do.
There’s agency policy, case law, tactical considerations, current information etc.
All of these things need to be talked about.


The emotional and unreasonable will just say “it’s the police chief’s fault! Fire him!”
Again, people want to simplify things because it’s the lazy and easy way out.

How is it possible that you don't know that the police chief admitted to being the site commander on the scene? It's been all over the news. He gave the order for the police to stand down. But you painted a nice imaginary story of how you would like things to be. It doesn't work that way.
The chief admits it, but you must know more about this than the chief.

I saw enough.. cops with all their toys sat outside for 70 minutes or some shit because they said they didn't have a key... they have no problem kicking in people's doors at their homes... it's kinda like a different school shooting where the school cops ran and hid when shit went down... that's what Is bs.. he took the job knowing that they put him there for situations like that... I mean what's the point of armed guards then... they are a bunch of pussys... I'm as sad about this as anyone, but there's more to this story than meets the eye. The chief on the scene told his men to stand down. I doubt this was about cowardice, because the chief didn't have to get in harms way. About one hour after the shooting, Kamala already was reading her speech about gun control. Shortly after that, her boss was stumbling through his gun control speech.
We need to find out the real reason the chief told his men to stand down. Was this whole thing a setup?

Firing him won't accomplish anything. Having him involved in plans to improve the Uvalde policy force and its polices, including officer training, would be good, although it's unlikely that anything similar to the school shooting will ever happen again in that town.
