Which would you rather buy from or do business with, a small business or a corporate-owned or chain business?

Question title is self-explanatory.

Corporation or chain.

A small business.

Whichever is the most affordable.

Greatly depends what I am buying.

the majority of the time I will buy local from a small family run type business.

However if I need to look at total value of ownership then I go with what gives best value for money and reliability.

for example cars, I will always buy main dealer as I get circa 30% discount with BMW, VW, Mercedes, Audi etc. A small business will not give me that discount unless they go via an authorised broker, in which case they get zero from the sale.

In regards to company I work for, we will where possible use local suppliers.

to keep it simple... I rather buy local and regional which is usually smaller business

but that's getting more and more difficult every year... nowadays I make my own tortillas instead... lmao
