Do you think that Obama making fun of Trump at the 2011 White House correspondents dimmer got Roe V. Wade overturned?

Okay I am in a state of shock over today and am so beyond mad at Roe being overturned. Now this only happened as a result of Trump being able to appoint three Supreme Court justices who overturned abortion. Now back in 2011 Obama had roasted Trump at the 2011 White House Correspondents dinner and I think that as a result of this Trump decided to run for President. I just think that if Obama hadn’t made fun of him we would still have Roe V. Wade. I mean who could know that a simple joke would have such a long lasting impact.

Do you know the difference between a Democratic sex scandal and a Republican one? If it's between consenting adults of the opposite sex, it's Democratic; change any of those variables, and it's Republican.

One example of the latter is Jack Ryan, who ran against an up-and-comer in the Illinois Senate race to fill Peter Fitzgerald's seat when he retired. Jack Ryan was looking good to win the race, but then rumors started surfacing that he had taken his wife (the actress Jeri Ryan) to sex clubs, and taken her against her will. Rumors are just rumors, but then actual evidence starting coming forward, and Ryan withdrew from the race to slink home in shame and obscurity. Who took his place? Alan Keyes. Keyes, you may recall, was the guy who *viciously* attacked Hilary Clinton for running for Congress representing New York, which she wasn't from. Any guesses as to what part of Illinois Keyes was from? Well, unless you guessed "Maryland", you're wrong.

The ludicrousness of that, coupled with the outrageous spending disparity (fourteen million against two and a half) put Keyes hopelessly out of the running, and he lost, in one of the most smashing defeats in Illinois history (losing 92 of 102 counties)- to a guy named Barack Obama. If Jack Ryan had just been able to keep his sexual predilections quiet, we'd never have heard of Obama.

More to the point, however, even if Trump hadn't decided to run, the 2016 election was the Republicans' to lose; Hilary Clinton has all the mass appeal of a rotting pumpkin, and the oratorical skills of a pump motor. Plus there's the whole "security clearance-violating felony" thing. She probably would've lost to ANYBODY.

Kindly tell me where it says you have a right to abortion. If you can't find it, then explain how the "Constitutional right" justification holds the least bit of water. Here's a hint: it doesn't. The ruling was faulty to begin with. Want federal protection for abortion? Write your Senators and Representatives. Until then, sit back, and be damn grateful the tenth Amendment is in place to keep us from turning into Canada or Australia, however inconvenient you may find it right now.

That's not the reason he ran. Trump had casually talked about running long before anyone had even heard of Obama. Others had also tried to get him to run as a Democrat, which he was for most of his life. I'm not aware of any Republicans recruiting him, but high level Democrats recruited him. He WAS a Democrat after all, and the Republicans didn't want anything to do with him.

I think the real reason Trump ran was just because he thought that the people in power weren't doing their job. He said for many years, maybe decades, that he would not run unless he thought there was a real need.

Why are your panties in a bunch? It just means the states get to decide. That's the way it should have been all along. The federal government's job is to protect our borders. How well are they doing at that?

I think Reagan taking the religious zealots into the party because Republican fiscal policies were vastly unpopular and they needed the distraction is what led to this.
