the U. S is the most economically isolated country in the world according to the world bank fact book. as a % of GDP as import or exports we bring in less than any other country. nothing crosses our borders basically.

if you believe humans can be perfected and brought above their instincts... that is a left wing idea as it comes from tabula rosa

if you believe humans have any form of original sin and can't be perfected and are in need of oversight as they will always do wrong. this is from the leviathan and thus a right wing idea
