Millennials: How do you all feel about how much money all the younger generation is making with social media?

We all started with social media but when we were around it was looked as lazy to become a social media influencer. Now all the younger generation don't even have to get jobs. They don't have to deal with a boss and now we're too old for social media lol.

That's their job, human experiment. They signed up to be influenced and manipulated by artificial intelligence algorithms into a delusional false reality. They don't know that, but that's their position at the company. Every little detail of their lives are studied and record, and then computers figure out how to control and manipulate them and pay them money for being a pawn. I think they are dumb for being an experiment participant that allow bots to trick them into fantasy. We're all in an information and intelligence war. They weakest people fall the quickest into enemy hands.

I already knew they were getting paid by the big companies. I did notice that it seemed like they were being manipulated to push the brands. I didn't know all the other stuff.

No I mean they "influencers" are being purposely manipulated to determine how to manipulate the human mind. Influencers don't influence shit, their followers are bots. On twitter I've seen "influencers" with 500K plus followers, nut only about 50 were real people. The real target of the AI is the influencer, not the masses. They push and pull the user of the account directly with a false reality. Some "influencers" have even committed suicide as a result of social media and it was all in their head. They were even real people talking to the "influencer".

They are rats in a cage... This is what Elon is exposing with his "purchase" of Twitter. As the story evolves in court you'll find out the truth in time. All major social media platforms are used that way. It started with Life Log a DARPA project as a weapon of war which became FaceBook.

I know what you meant and you're very informed. I've heard a couple of these things and this sheds light on more controversial topics. I would've liked to see if Elon Musk would buy it but last I heard he couldn't You're right it must be because it's a lot of things involved. It's not like they're going to hand to him easily. I still find it interesting how long twitter has lasted.

He never wanted to buy Twitter. It was all a ploy to get them to disclose their business practices. People need to wake up to the fact that social media is a weapon being used against their minds. Elon is attacking Twitter. He just wanted to get them into court. Now Twitter’s high level of bots will be exposed on the record. This will open Twitter to litigation over fraudulent marketing figures. It will show the world that Twitter is not a real company and tank their stock.

I think, like sports and entertainment, 1% of influencers are making all the money. The average woman on Only Fans is debasing herself for $150 per month. I’ve seen teenagers with hundreds of thousands of followers and no more talent than looking good in a bikini.

Nikola Tesla, Edgar Allen Poe, and many great artists died flat broke. Kim Kardashian is filthy rich, mainly for popularizing the fat ass and showing her’s off. If a teenage girl can make more money than I do by posting pictures that border on child pornography, any moral argument I make will fall on deaf ears. But, they can remember Uncle Mike has an MBA and can give them advice on saving and investing, to get them through life when their primary talent starts to sag and wrinkle.

Unless you have your own self made business with your own clientele then it’s very vulnerable. Any of these social media platforms could be gone tomorrow. How many of them are going to hunt you down to buy your products and services? Millennials know all this already.

It came from a documentary I was watching. You're right I did see that it can be vulnerable and exploitative but it's also good money. It's what you do with your money when you have it that will matter. As well as what you said about it not being there forever. I'm just amazed at all the opportunities while we had few that's all. Of course, social media wasn't as rampant around those times either.

Not that many people are making that much money on social media. For every one person able to support themselves on social media. There are hundreds of thousands of failures.

Additionally with the likelihood of a large global recession on the way many companies will cut ad budgets so all those content creators will see a significant revenue decline.

It's a different yet more accessible way of showing potential with the tool of social media. They're still jobs and whoever will still have social managers or be their own boss.

Sometimes it's harder to be your own boss because you have to motivate your own self.
