There is one good thing about all of this. People are starting to think twice about considering abortion a contraceptive. It’s not.
A contraceptive prevents pregnancy. So by definition, it’s not. It however is a method of preventing parenthood.

I admit “got around” a bit when I was younger. But I was always cautious to the point of being paranoid. I’ve had condoms break and I always offered to get plan B. Fortunately no accidents happened but just saying.

With less access to abortion, more couples are going to be raising a child. This affects men too. I can only imagine being 20 and pregnant. I’d have considered abortion. Without that option, I’d go to the guy and change that man’s whole life around.

A man "should" wear a condom, even if she's on the pill, ESPECIALLY if he doesn't want to get a girl pregnant. To summarize, and I believe we agree, Roe v Wade should NEVER have had a single thing to DO with men being responsible for their part in pregnancy. There SHOULD have been the same thought process before as after, regardless of the state you live in.
Clearly, the problem is certain states ultra-conservative legislatures. Since we're a representative Republic, the laws made do not always represent the majority opinion (sometimes a good thing). But in this case, according to PEW Foundation research, 63% of all Americans favor a 14 week law with some exceptions and some "depends" categories. The biggest "depends" are the life of the mother, incest and rape, and severe disabilities or health issues for the unborn.
What Texas has done is a disgrace. It's put fear into doctors and hospitals to make life saving decisions. Their law deputizes the population to be abortion monitors for profit, and enables citizens to sue ordinary people and doctors or institutions.

I’d be careful with that. I understand the female empowerment stuff was pushed on women, but it was something you all took at your own pace at your own time in your own portion. If you have a laundry list of things about someone that needs to change before dating, better to move on, even if it means being single. Lay out the terms, and see if they can prove themselves.
