Do good looking people often have good looking friends?

It’s weird. I see these groups of girls of about 5-6. And all of them are stunning. Same with all the “athletic and hot” (and arrogant) guys at my school. All the pretty girls and guys had pretty friends. Now I don’t know if this is a coincidence or people go around picking their friends for their looks?
